I think it'll be cool if Human could respawn if died after like 30 turns or so.
Example:
Human is Kongo, having only Mbanza Kongo and Portugal demanded it. Human refuse but lose to Portugal and die. A DoM-like loading screen appear and Human wait for 30 turns to re-spawn. At the re-spawn, they would see that the world had changed so much when they left, and feels like playing a new game with new strategy again - maybe acting as Angola or Zimbabwe now
Example2:
Human is Mongol. Due to an overexpansion stability penalty, suddenly Human collapse. Human went to DoM-like screen and after 30 turns, found out that Russia has taken much of his land, and China is stronger than ever. Now, can Human re-start Genghis Khan's dream to unite all steppe cities under Mongolian rule?
NOTE:
- Can only happen once
- Only happen if collapse and respawn is inside the timeframe (Human Babylonia can never respawn if they collapsed by Arab invasion in 600s AD, for example.)
- Probably this will obsolete some of UHV they pursue - I'm still unsure about this. My intention was for a fun, carefree game that doesn't really care for UHV
- Does not happen if 30 turns after Human collapse there are only less than 100 turn left
On a very unrelated note,
it will be great if you could add Vietnamese LH for Khmer; appear only when Khmer's DCN is Dai Viet - which almost always happen after Thai spawn in 1350AD. (I've never seen Kingdom of Pagan or Kingdom of Nanzhao anymore since many revision ago.
