Heya all, its the Advent season and one of my busiest times of the year hence why I have been so busy and no answered all the questions I've been asked yet.
Due to this business I'm extending the orders lock until Friday and hopefully I won't have to extend it again. Though do not count on that. Once Christmas and Epiphany have occurred I should have a lot more spare time and will be back on track to weekly updates.

The salvation of Christendom is not the only thing at stake in the growing flames of the European continent, but also the salvation of all the people of the world, and indeed, humanity itself. Edit: I should also mention I had today been out (including to a Christmas meal) and tomorrow will be a bit busy, so again I will need time to make sure this late declaration of war is not hindrance to players (like myself) who may have time issues at times.

Following intense debate, the National Assembly of the Republic of the Canarias & Madeiras has decided to declare war upon France and her allies. Their long-standing antagonistic behaviour towards the peoples of Europe have been a danger to the peace, as one can see.

Temasek has long since been isolationist, not by choice anyways. Although trade between the communes, colonies and the indigenous people that dot former Southeast Asia is growing every year, diplomacy with an equal power was unheard of.
As Temasek colonisers spread deeper into what was once Penang, Sumatra and Brunei, there was nothing but small, tightly knit communities, rarely hitting the hundreds in population, or ruins of vast cities. But this week, news from an explorer's group sent shockwaves throughout the nation.
On the beaches of former Phuket, an explorer's group recounted meeting a group of sentient beasts. They would have been dismissed as yet another tall tale...except they managed to bring the 'Orcs' along with them. Introducing themselves as hailing from the United Agontrov Clans from far-off lands that the local colonial administration admitted that they failed to catch due to their thick accents. Towering above the regular Human but capable of speaking in our language, diplomacy was hastily set up by the central council in Temasek Isle as news spread throughout the realm.
While Scholars have begun sharing knowledge, the more military-minded have been clamoring to either throw them back to the sea or to quickly cement an alliance in case a more barbaric group of beasts rear their hypothetical heads. The alliance faction won out after heated (and violent) debate in the central council and a hastily assembled Defensive Pact with the UAC was announced.
They tell us that the far off land of 'Europe' is embroiled in a war, and as new members of their wider alliance they hoped Temasek would support their conflict. Without thinking much, Temasek accepts it's involvement in the conflict. But considering they don't know what a """Europe""" even is they have no clue what they have just thrown themselves into.
In average news, The Temasek council has placed 8 dp into the Military and 9 into economic development. The news of the Orcs has overshadowed such news in the minds of the average citizen though.

I don't really want to play in a game where people whine and moan endlessly about things not going their way and accuse people attacking them of having no lives. Is this Sandcastle Simulator or a territory expansion war and conquest game? I role play a negative press release of a foreign government and get screeched at about power gaming. I declare war and someone claims I'm breaking the rules and whine about it constantly, for 24 hours straight complaining back to back about how they have no time to send orders. Oh. My god. Non contributors don't even roleplay except to snark idiotic cynical remarks they then retread and undermine later, or do nothing but later screech about how their super leet communist heaven country is totally utopia and having any one criticize it is power gaming.

Ok what the hell, for the past two or so weeks I've been so busy with school and work and you know what, of course i'm not going to contribute because of that, i keep getting nagged at by ailed to do things, and I never wanted a war in the first place.
What doesn't help is that the forum won't actually tell me when a new post has been made in the games i'm in. I'm just so pissed off, like what the actual hell crezth and ailed? I can't have a life outside of IOT, I can't focus on school or actually making money? I have too many stressers on me because finals just ended and work is getting 1000X worse, I want to be a part of this to have fun, not yelled at and criticized because I can't devote my entire life to a game.
I'm so mad I really want to drop this game - and the only reason I'm not is because I don't want to upset RC or lose everything if I do calm down and want to come bak, like holy crap you two, I'm sorry I have work and school that I need to take care of too.
in the mean time here is my expansion and put 26 DP (including my 8 banked) into military units

OOC: I apologised for stuff on the 12th and I understand your IRL considerations but I will need to issue concerns hence. I know the alert mechanic on CFC is not efficient, nor did a war before lock was... the best of considerations. However to myself be marked in the same brush.
However I would note that leaving a DP like this would be in its way jerkish to the other players of the pact; if you have time problems you could hand war orders for Spain to one of the members of your alliance so we cold organise.
I have tried to get extra hours because I knew of your IRL considerations hence.
I myself and others of the DP I set did not want war; please don't leave the DP.
