Darwin's reign over the Malinese began on a sour note. In 1705, word reached Timbuktu that Queen Elizabeth had sworn off the teachings of the One True Religion, Judaism, and converted her self and her people to Confucianism. Despite her pretty face, she didn't have a clue.
Things got progressively better as the years progressed. Malinese scientists unlocked the secrets of Biology, and began research into controlling lightning, what they were calling Electricity. They worked hard, because they knew the English were slightly more advanced than the Malinese; but the English had been concentrating on technologies of war, whereas the Mali preferred peaceful technologies (mostly).
In 1715, Darwin commissioned construction of a great building - the Taj Mahal. It would take many years to complete, but would bring about a great Golden Age for the Mali. In 1720, an engineer named Sinan joined the project, and under his guidance, the building was completed in 1725. Truly Sinan was a Great Engineer.
And so the reign of Darwin ended.
NOTE: I only had time to play 5 turns. Sorry.
