Well... I or another can do a map later with said desert.

Of course we have to ask the climate of the world: is the north hot and the centre cold or?

Environment
Perhaps most striking is the fact Terios is a gas giant. The large quantity of gases being heated up, fused and split in the the core beneath generates enormous pressure, many continents and islands now skyward. Through some miracle, perfect temperatures and atmospheres exist on - and in many cases, between - these landmasses, enabling a world to exist that is built on an ocean of gas.

Apart from these differences, however, the continents look much like those on our Earth. There are mountain ranges, rivers, forests, cities... all the water that spills over the edges of the continents is heated up and returns to the Skylands through condensation. The environment is somewhat chaotic, and there is no real "trend" of climates as there is on Earth. A frozen tundra can easily be mere miles away from a scorching desert.

No Earth nations or anything that's taken from fiction.

Other than that you can be pretty much anything. We have a robotic society, a trading republic, an insectoid nation, etc. there really are no limits.

I am in contruction of a world enviroment map. I have taken Deus's map in consideration to the map and have set a (rough) focus on the enviroments of the land.

Edit: I done it. The map has let to have a key for it but here is the map...



It... is rough. We will need to polish it later on. While the key is not done let: the red is volcanic, lava lands. Yellow are deserts. The greens are different grass based enviroments. The purple is the set of undead lands. The blue is magical, mystical lands. The grey is tundra/snow lands. The orange are rocky waste lands; think barberian lands. The dard yellow is a kind of waste that is chaotic and dangerous with storms plus monsters most common. Brown is simple barran plains. The special isle is its own enviroment that will be left to the imagination of the GM to design.

Anyway: we will construct the map further on to develop the world.

(since tani didn't want any real nations, or anything recognizable from fiction. also, i'm really sorry i had to resort to that)

Government: Absolute Monarchy

Society: the Mathalian Society is reasonably advanced, and peaceful. they tend to focus on the economy, and trade relations. the Military is among the best in the world in terms of Discipline, but does not have the best technology.

the freedom of the Empire is quite high, with all the universal rights granted to sapient life forms. there are even elections for most lower level governments, up to the senatorial level. the Monarch Himself, known only as Emperor, rules for life. He is in his 4th year.

Race: Human.

Religion: Mathalia. essentially a monotheist religion, worshipping the person known as Mathalamus.

History: the Mathalamus Empire has endured for hundreds of years in relative isolation. it is said that it was founded when one person, named Mathalamus, united the warring tribes of the island, centralized the government, and personally designed the Empire to base around him. He was later venerated as a God, upon his passing.

Capital: Mathis. largest city on the island. constructed in the middle of the large island

The Island: the island is fairly resource poor. not so poor that they cant live in isolation, yet poor enough that they needed to find more expensive alternatives to stuff we take for granted, like Oil or various metals.

Yes. If humans are nothing special it stands to reason another human-like species could evolve elsewhere due to convergent evolution.

We will also need to consider the animal life (the dark yellow wastes might have things like gaint scorpian monsters for instance) and of the histories of nations that no longe exist, as well as the religions and organisations present.

Well, this game is to be the first on this planet; I have plans to use the world in the future.

So, if you ever wanted to be part of a cooperative fictional world you and a few others all co-wrote... this is it. Pretty much everything's up for grabs! Ecology, politics, culture... the world and all its history is yours to command... and conquer.
