Of the ones on the poll, Wish You Were Here is my favourite

80's music is where it's at, both manufactured AND sounded awesome. :D

I'm a huge fan of 1970s progressive rock.
Can't get enough. The more I listen to it, the more I want to listen to it. Lately I have been binging on Gentle Giant and ELP. Been listening to some Henry Cow, Nektar, The Nice (with K. Emerson) and Frank Zappa.

ELP's music is so colorful. Gentle Giant is sharp. Yes is a little bit of both.

Prog-rock list:
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
Gentle Giant
Jethro Tull
Yes
Egg
Nektar
The Nice
The Alan Parsons Project
Camel
Brainticket
Frank Zappa
Henry Cow
The Moody Blues

But I do like most of the 70s. Especially:

Crosby Stills Nash and Young
Blue Oyster Cult
Black Sabbath
Bad Company
Cream
Dire Straits
Edgar Winter Group
King Crimson
Fleetwood Mac
Heart
Iggy and The Stooges
Kansas
Moby Grape
Nazz
Santana
Steely Dan
Steve Miller Band
Supertramp
The Eagles
The Who

Also like folk 70s like:
Jim Croce
Simon and Garfunkel
Harry Chapin
The Trees

Gentle Giant? I see we have a connoisseur here :)

The best from the '70's?

Return the CD to the store you bought it; replace with either the Eagles' Hotel California or Rocks or Toys in the Attic from Aerosmith.

Born to Run is also acceptable.

It might be because the song on the list is from their transition period?
Yeah, Follow You Follow Me was okay as a pop song, but there was much better earlier Genesis material imo.

No Judas Priest, no Black Sabbath, not even Led Zeppelin? I'd demand a refund for that album. :p

I would have at LEAST settled for some Scorpions

When was Stairway to Heaven and Baba O'Riley recorded?

Why ain't Frank Zappa on the list?

Just to be clear: "Layla" here refers to the Derek and the Dominos version, right? The rock one? If so, that has to be my choice, and by a good margin too.

Frank Zappa was killed by a Kiss.

Clapton. Layla. Hands down.

My favorite song of all-time.

Kiss. Detroyt Rock City. Thumbs up. My favourite Kiss song.

Here's the top 25 list of my favourite radio station's annual top 500. It has 17 songs from the seventies.
None of these 17 are on the OP's new album.
