Update : Made a file for installing all the new icons. Download here
NON-MODULAR FIXES
52 unit icons either lowres fixed and/or highlighted.
6 leaderheads lowres fixed
RoM_Promotion_Atlas.dds lowres fixed and added alphachannels

MODULAR FIXES
23 Custom Leaderheads lowres fixed (In RAR-file. Need extraction to individual folders)

IN PROJECTS/VINCENTZ/ICONS
27 New Unit Icons added to remove cloneicons
4 New Improvement Icons added to remove cloneicons
18* New Building/GW/NW/Projects Icons added to either fix lowres or remove cloneicons
6 New Specialist Icons (2 of them fixed low res and removed border)

* Not finished yet. There are still more iconclones within the Building/GW/NW's


I thought it would be better to open a separate thread for my little icon project.
But let it not stop there. Are there any units/buildings/wonders/improvements etc that needs not only a new icon but a new texture (I don't know if its been fixed but the school used to look horribel) or a new nif, then here would be a good start to put them.

BTW : I wanted to create new looks for some of the iconcloned specialists. And while just changing the color of different clothing parts (Make the slave look ragged and spice up the celebrity/noble) I really need some of the original files that are packed away in Civs Pack files.

So if anyone has unpacked them I would love :

Art/Interface/MainScreen/CityScreen/

Artist.dds
Merchant.dds
Priest.dds
Citizen.dds
Engineer.dds
Scientist.dds

I suspect that you need to go firstly to BtS/Assets and find either from FPK file(s) or Art folder.

If not, then go one more level up, to CivIV/Assets and check either of FPK file(s) or Art folder.

No, unless Afforess made his mod modular in the latest patch. You can however delete the CIV4ArtDefines_Unit.xml in AND which should fix it, but unless you know what you are doing I wouldnt recommend it.

I think they are in CivIV/Assets FPK, but I haven't unpacked it, and I'd rather not do if someone already has unpacked it. I did it once with BTS's packfile, and it took hours, which is a bit too much for the few files I need ;)

Nice work Vincentz! These look awesome. I cleaned out the few icons I updated and made my changes modular for patch I, and I'll include all of these in Patch I as well. (With your credit and approval, of course).
 
Could someone give some "help" to Cleopatra! Oh My!

No chin, bug eyes and thin as a scarecrow (I'm reeaallly trying to be nice to her) but......even Victoria is better looking! :p

And Cathy needs new clothes too! That uniform is.....stifling her attributes.

We already have one impressive looking Egyptian leader, Neertiti :). I use her as one of default rival AI LH :D.

As for Catherine the Great, yeah, I agree. She was famed for her, um, indiscretion with some officers of the army. So I expect that her clothings should reflect that more :).
Victoria can keep her present clothings because it befit her reputation (really, it fits her older self, not the younger, if I recall her history correctly. Brits, correct me if I'm wrong :)).

Ofcourse. I'll start making patches to the original file from now then. I actually managed to clean out all the lowres icons I put on my original list except form farmscraper I-III and nanite defuser. There are still some building icon clones (mostly factories), but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now :)

Agree. I'm surprised no one has taken cleo and cathy to a hotter level.

I have updated Cleopatra's leaderhead (as well as several others) in the following thread:

She now uses Ekmek's Cleopatra. However, I'm not really a fan of this leaderhead, either - she still looks too much like Hatshepsut (which is why I deleted her folder in my game), but at least she's not a creepy harpy-like creature like the current one.
