Anyone watch this new show? Its a spinoff the Daily Show, hosted by Stephen Colbert (the main reporter from teh Daily Show). It's pretty terrible so far. Colbert uses his same style of humor over and over and it gets boring fast.

Chappelle sucks. He's just another black comedian who makes fun of racial stereotypes and uses the n word way too much. It's trite, boring, and if it were a steak, so overdone no amount of barbecue sauce would make it edible.

I've seen two episodes. It is pretty good in spots (the "word of the day" with the comments on-screen as he talks is pretty funny) but a few parts are the same joke over and over, which gets old VERY quick.

Funny, I have exactly the opposite opinion regarding Chapelle vs Mencia.
I loathe Mencia. Its the same tired mexican joke over and over again, only loud and profane. It isnt smart at all. its just crass.
Chapelle can be offensive and crass sometimes, but i find his show, more often than not, hysterical. My floor just bought the first 2 seasons on DVD. C'mon...is Wayne Brady going to have to choke a *****? is that not funny?

Mencia is the most annoying person on earth. I hate that stupid "I'll speak my mind, I don't care about being PC" type of comedy. That piece of garbage needs to get off the air and fade into pathetic obscurity... its inevitable anyways. Not original, not funny, just ********. When he's not making annoying mexican jokes he is doing stuff that Maddox did 5yrs ago.
Chapelle on the other hand is hilarious. "Mad Real World" was amazingly funny, the wayne brady sketch, charlie murphy's true hollywood stories, the gang wars sketch, the player haters ball... all amazing. Not anything like typical black comedy.

The reason I like Mencia is that his humor is based on reality from the frontlines of the 'melting pot'. You hear that sort of ethnic and racist humor every day on the street and in workplaces all over the country. I know guys like Mencia who are a million times funnier than he is, but you'll never know their names, because theyre working on loading docks, or in restaurants. But I dont expect you ivory tower types to know what Im talking about
