I think I told you at work to go home after one of those nights because you were useless to me. [emoji3]

But then I ended up being very productive that day!

I took that mentality in with me today. Nobody was allowed to know that I was tipsy until 11 and horribly hungover the entire time. Smiles and focus all day. I felt like I was level grinding or something, really satisfying experience. I still feel #rekt and I've been off work for well over an hour. But they never knew :)

That's the spirit! I can recall one rough work day after a night full of libations thinking I was going to vomit. But where there's a will, there's a way!:king:

To remain on point, here is what I'm drinking now:

Lagunitas "2015 Gnarly Wine" ABV 10.6%, IBU 69.39, 22 fl oz bottle.

Smells vaguely hoppy, tastes sweet at first then develops a more bitter aftertaste. Not too bad! A good barleywine at a good price.

Indeed you were and some of that work you did I just updated for the new month today!

That's the plan. I know this is supposed to be the thread for after action reports, but since I'm probably not gonna be able to report during the run, I thought I could write a bit now, and some more on Sunday. :D

How much practice drinking have you been doing?

This is very important. You don't want to go into this run unprepared. Lack of preparation can only lead to unsightly spillages and wasted beer, I'm afraid.

The wrong bus arrived, so I took it to the liquor store and bought a bunch of beer. Then I put it in my backpack and brought it home.

I don't even know what I'm drinking right now, but I am pretty sure it is beer.

Interesting. In most liquor stores in Oregon you can't buy beer, just booze. Beer is sold everywhere else.:crazyeye:

But, I too bought beer today:

Worthy Brewing "Eruption Imperial Red Ale" 8% ABV, 100 IBU, 22 oz bottle

This was the situation outside all the bars when we started around 14:00 (some started way before that however...). Took quite some time to get my first beers. :twitch:

It got better after while, so by 19 or so the queues were more manageable. Though by then it started to get a bit chilly outside.

All in all, I think I only ended up at 9 or 10 beers, at 8 different places (ended up going a bit back and forth in the end! :p ). Also my group was too big, so there was no way to herd everyone after a while. At around the third beer, I had already lost half of my friends! :dunno:

All in all, it was pretty fun, but next time, I'll start at the other end and work my way down. That seems far smarter than standing in tons of queues.

We have only two places you can buy (non-wine) booze here - liquor stores and beer stores.

Beer stores are the only place allowed to sell 24s of beer.. so they focus on that. Liquor stores is where you'll on the other find many interesting singles to buy, 6 packs, craft beers, local brews, interesting stuff from around the world, etc. The beer store focuses on beer crap like Budweiser and other stuff sold in 24s, so it's worthless to me for the most part.
