EQ I am sorry but that second thread idea would not work for the invitational nes as then when someone did work something out there would always be cries of someone cheating.
Swissempire said:I think the second thread is a great idea, as long as you(Being EQ) put everything in spoilers, so even if a player does venture into the thread "accidently" they have to make a consious choice to cheat.
No way to moderate it. No way to determine whether someone is just really good at estimating their enemies or cheating. No way to know if they're reading it and just very subtly processing the information. To do it effectively would take something on the order of the COTM / GOTM system, and we don't have the power for that. Trust is not enough, and any system relying on it exclusively--particularly in a high pressure, high profile setting where performance is being watched and judged--is doomed to fail.EQ said:Invitees would be determined by nominations and approval by myself. These people would be trusted not to go to the learning thread to look at what everyone is doing behind the scenes. If they did, they'd soon be out on their ass.
Huh, the more you know i guess.Turner said:The problem with spoilers is they still show up in the Subscription Notification emails.... unless there are quote tags inside the spoiler tags....hint hint...

We'll do an easy style to mod, more focused on fun and stories than building and destroying. Back to the Basics NES.
