The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

So I just bought Dawnguard on the Greenmangaming sale instead of Dragonborn, because I was so pissed off they ran out of stock on Dragonborn so... yeah.

I'm not looking too forward to Dawnguard, seeing as its analogous to Knights of the Nine in Oblivion (i.e. just a questline and a few new things but nothing really substantial), but "not looking too forward" is more relatively speaking.

Don't expect too much from the storyline (it's rather silly), but the crossbows are rad.

Finally got around to getting Minecraft. Anyone still play multiplayer?
BF Bad Company 2 is a lot fun. I also started playing BF2. Good times.

Lots of people play Minecraft MP, but I'm not one of them because I don't own the game.

I got the remake of Carrier Command, and aside from unit pathing issues (which have gotten a little better with the patches, but still suck) it is a really fun game.

I also got Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds on PC. It is a really obscure strategy game from 1999. Very simplistic battles, but the strategic aspect is surprisingly deep for a low-budget title. If you can find it, I highly recommend picking it up.

^ Thoughts? As good as the oldies, do you think?

I got Fire Emblem Awakening for the 3DS a week and a half ago. I played a lot, more than 30 hours worth so far. I really appreciate the child system. I have three people (Donnel, Manakete Morgan, and Nah) who I don't think can die if I want them to; they're just so strong.

I bought Lego Harry Potter (Years 5-7) today. It looks like it might be quite good fun.

I'm almost always open to Minecraft MP, for the record.

Got Mark of the Ninja on the daily deal the other day. It's decent. Worth the $3.75 I paid for it at least, though I think there is more I haven't seen yet.

So did I. I think my controller is making this game feel a lot better than it would if I was playing with just mouse and keyboard though. Just played a couple of hours and it's a good game.

Aye, it was an XBLA native game, and the typical PC controls are a little wonky. Not too bad though.

I don't remember mentioning it, but I got that HIB a while back with Awesomenauts, Tiny & Big, Dear Esther, Oil Rush and some others...

Awesomenauts is truly awesome and Tiny & Big is the funnest puzzler I've played. Still yet to venture into Dear Esther since I remember the thread here about it being rather... distinct.
