The Idiots' Partee

Tubs, thank you for putting up all those links to the votes. I have a heck of a time finding my way around the Demo game sites.

I voted the straight party ticket. Idiots every one of you!!! :p

Have voted :salute: ... remember perhaps do not vote for blkbird in designated player :mischief: as he is not idiot friendly ... we are either leading or equal in polls

btw I like Licentia as Nation's name ... from Licentious = disregarding accepted rules (esp. gramma and style) ... sounds idiotic or what

Also have noticed that there are some who profess to be idiots and are even bearing gifts of beer :nono: ... but they do not show on the roll call  ... are these pseudo-idiots playing us for fools ?!!

Fattieland was submitted by Tubs, 'nuf said.

I actually don't find any of the names very funny, so I'll just go with the Tubby's one. It's a good one, anyway.

Fattieland came from Swissempire telling us that all names are acceptabel except Fattieland... So I nominated Fattieland as the nations name. I don't know which I'll vote for but will prolly vote for Fattieland. not beacuse I'm fat (which I'm not) but because it's prolly something that most people wouldn't call a country.

And what's better than to be fat, drunk and stoopid. Wait I don't think that I meet any of those requirements. :hmm:

A roll call? Whats a roll call? Isnt it when people say their name to take attendance? Am I on the roll call ?

The roll is here it is mainly used to see who's shout is is (the person designated to buy the next round of drinks) ;)

btw Happy Year of the Dog people

Add me to the partee...

I dont post much, I am usually drinking...:crazyeye:

I just voted for yall you fools.

Since we're running really well in the elections, and that some of us are (very) casual players of this game, I suggest we name an Administrative Local Affairs Secretary (ALAS) to keep communication going between the partee officials, and to make sure the mentionned officials don't omit things that are too important. This is bound to happen, but we might as well try to avoid it.

So who's up for this ?

I'm not on the role-call? Am I not accepted by the idioths?

Idioths, you must see the truth of pastries! Convert to the Holy Religion of the Pastries so that you may gain the great power of cakes and cookies! Plus, pastries go well with beer!

added NB & robbo to the roster. Roster If I've missed anyone... sorry.

Elections end today so go vote if you haven't already.

Well I'm back from an unexpected absence (due to suffering from blkbird-FLU) and being cut off from the internet for a couple of days - seriously, I was sick but nothing to do with birds or women. :D
I've placed my votes in for all fellow idiots and it seems, as has been stated before, we seem (and will continue..) to have quite an influence over this Demo Game. Now that is dangerous!

Sadan, I think you'd be very good ALAS

I do like to point out that Political Parties can advise members to vote for the candidate of the parties choice. There's however no way a Political Party has the right to force a member (or anyone for that matter) to vote a certain way, nor is it acceptable to encourage people to not vote for a candidate.

this post is an example of what we don't like to see in the next election round in 30 days. Keep the Civ 4 DemoGame fun and don't pick on non-idiots. Please.

Rik let's be careful here. This was not a fight Fe waged. Demogames are supposed to be fun and Blkbird, as a government official, was not fun, forthcoming or forthright and took a high and mighty stance of his office. Not a very good thing to do when you're serving the voters. This did not endear anyone towards him.

I'm sorry he's decided to leave the game but it sounds like he has RL issues that come first.

@Rik: Please explain clearly have you posted as a citizen or as a moderator. If you have posted as moderator, then nobody can argue with your points. If you have posted as a citizen, then I would try to argue against your pov here involving something "... we don't like to see in the next election ..."

Who are "we"? Why the Demogame should evolve like it is the vision of these "we" and not like it evolves for as long as there is no violation of the forum rules? Is the will and desire of "we" is superior to the will and desire of citizens?

I'm not saying that what you've noted about the above post is wrong, I think you are perfectly right here. However, these "we" look like a big brother to me. Also, this thread is quite open to anyone and I think if there are some concerns form the members of other parties or government officials, the party can always have a party with these citizens and we then can settle all issues in an open and clear manner.

On a sidenote, there are supposed to be political enemies and political struggles in the demogame. How citizens are supposed to handle the struggle then? As for me personally, I was not very tempted to take any considerable part in the Civ3 Demogames for certain reasons one of which included lack of active political struggle and all the same people playing and ruling the citizens in all the same ways. Now I hope it is different and it might be worth giving it a shot.
