No I have not noticed.

"Ground length" probably doesn't have the errors from the map projection.

Most Jewish joke are about ethnicity rather than religion, so I don't think so. It's the same way that converting to Catholicism and moving to Ireland doesn't mean you can start making Irish jokes.

Does anyone here own/use a "chair-bed"? Are they worth the money ($200-$350)?

If someone converted to Judaism, would it be acceptable for that person to make Jewish jokes?

That episode of Seinfeld got me thinking about this:

Spoiler :

I find the idea that you can only make Jewish jokes if you are Jewish, Black jokes if you are Black, Catholic jokes if you are Catholic strange...
People should be able to joke about everything and if not than Non-American people shouldn't be allowed to make American jokes, Non-Dutch people shouldn't be allowed to make Dutch jokes etc..

A Dutch man sees a man on his knees using his hand to drink water from one of Amsterdam’s canal.

He walks up to him and says in Dutch “Hey – you can’t drink that water, it’s dirty and will make you sick”.

The tourist shouts back in German: “Was sagen Sie?“ (What are you saying?)

The Dutch man responds in German: “Sie sollen mit zwei haende trinken, das geht besser!” (Use both hands, it’s much better!”)

 my point exactly

That's mean. :)

yes, yes it is. But it is also funny

Yes, it would be nice if there was no such thing as history.

Why do the Dutch hate the Germans? Historical reasons?

We don't hate the Germans.... well not any more :mischief:

It's part historical as in WOII and Dutch have a bit of an inferiority complex towards Germany our BIG neighbour of whom our economy depends.
But I think the most important reason is the fact that they beat us in the final of the World Football championship in '74 with 1-2 :p

well, all of them off course!!! All Germans are the same!!!

:p

Why is white rice overwhelmingly more popular in the third world than brown rice ? Brown rice is more nutritious and less labour intensive to produce . I'd have thought that these factors would outweigh any taste preference for white .
