actually i think thats a Amphibious Assault Vehilce (AAV) in that picture

i thought i recognized the designation "linebacker" to be some kind of AA deal, so i looked it up and turns out this is the M6

its a bradley with stingers to the side of the turret instead of the TOWs

i was surprised to see so many AAVs back in 2003, in the press footage from the invasion of iraq, i saw way more of them, than i saw bradleys, but maybe thats because of the love of the american media for marines and special forces types.

Another Austrian fabricat, the Steyr HS 50 heavy sniper rifle. It fires 12.7 mm x 99 mm rounds and has 1.5 km operational range. It is powerful enough to penetrate light armoured vehicles. It caused some uproar a few weeks ago because Steyr exports it (800 pieces so far) to Iran and the US wants to make sanctions against that company with the argument it will be used by sponsored terrorists (Iran claims they will only be used to fight drug smuggling).

@ Jawz: The last Austrian SAAB Draken (and thus the last active one worldwide) was decommissioned I think Nov. last year (as you posted a pic of an Austrian one). Now we are without fighters until the first Eurofighters arrive.
