The NOTW Information Thread

Foxford is nominally in Elohim land, but no one has done one that had any focus at all on any of the following civs to my knowledge: Elohim, Grigori, Kuriotates, Malakim, Mercurians(there was one with an Angel SK, but I don't know whether to count it), Calabim (Sprig's The Immortals if it ever happens will be there), Clan of Embers (we've had orcs, but never on a large scale), or Doviello. My game will be a Clan and Doviello game, though.

It's A Long Story took place underneath a Grigori town named Hazlett, and one of the factions was the Grigori town guard infiltrators. The Calabim have showed up in a ton of different games :D

Really? Night of Blood had one vampire, possibly Calabim, in it, but what other ones in the past 20 contained Calabim? Before that, I wasn't playing and the threads are gone,

NotW VII: Dark Side of the Sun took place in a Malakim settlement.

If I ever host another one of these it will be set amongst the Grigori: I have a story idea and a possible mechanic, but no inkling of how to make it work thus far.

It's strange that there's never been a Doviello game. Isn't Duin Halfmorn one of the Doviello heroes?

Outside of the scenarios, he's a technology-based general hero. The Doviello hero is the War machine.

We need a new m-NotW game tos tart signups now that TFA's large game is starting.

btw I'm deleting all my PMs from m-NotW. Hope you kept carbon copies.

I'd probably wait a week before M-Notw sign-ups, so that the mNoTW does carry through most of the gap between full-scales like yours did.

Or we could start another MNotw now, since TFA won't be started his game for close on a week. Anyone ready to start one?

Somewhere around NOTW 8 was a brilliant two-thread game that had the Mercurians as the "wolves" for one of the sides. It's too bad that one got lost.

NOTW(Night of the Witches) Salem 1692: Witch Haven

Host: bestrfcplayer
Type of Game: small
Number of Players: 20
First time host: yes for NOTW
Progress: 0%

I did put this in the maifa hosting queue, but I decided that this would work better as a NOTW because of the major role playing.

A little off-base, but I just read a tweet where there was this at the end: #notw

At first I was thinking Night of the Werewolves, but then I realized it was the whole news of the world thing.

NOTW: Glory Everlasting

Number of players: 30-35
First Time host: No, but Yes for NOTW
Progress: 50%, most of the remaining is Role PM writeups

Description: Set firmly in the FFH universe. The coastal town of Inishboffin had been nothing but a lazy retreat for Elohim scholars for generations. Now, it has become a focal point for worldwide conflicts and strange events.

(There is a whole lot more backstory but this is all that can be revealed right now)

I'd be happy to put together summaries for someone who wants to look over the game for balance and details. I do think things are looking very manageable on their own too and the standard warning of don't want someone to miss out on playing, it's not necessary, but it couldn't hurt either if someone knew they weren't going to be playing and wanted to look at the game anyway. Preferably I'd be looking for someone who is excellent with FFH lore first and foremost, that moreso than game balance, and this is just out there as I don't expect the game to be hosted for quite a long time.

NotW: An Even Longer Story (Sequel to A Long Story)

In development. I don't want to run another game for more than a few months, though, so dibs on the bottom of the list.

Earthling, I think I'm as steeped in FFH Lore as anyone currently active. I'd be happy to look over your game or just the backstory.

Thanks for the offer, figure it'd be a long time before this is hosted anyway but if you really want to I'll get back in touch when some more things are put together. Mostly what's been focused on is abilities, game balance and the like rather than the characterization and backstories as I said there so it'd be a while regardless before I have things ready enough to look over, but hopefully it should be all right.

Is someone else ready to go? I could probably be ready to post sign-ups this weekend and start at the end of next week.
