It was unceremoniously dropped by a commercial station here after only 5 or 6 episodes. Which I thought was a pity, as it isn't a bad show and it has some very pretty ladies in it.
"I refuse to,mainlly because TV sucks now-a-days" that's a pretty lame excuse, i thought it looked dumb until i saw it with my older brother (a big fan) and i thought it was surprisingly funny. I admit it is pretty soap-ish and it can be lacking in the reality dept. but i still like it. It's one of the better shows on, even if "TV sucks now-a-days"

It definitely is a good show. I watched it. The plot is overblown and the characters show a massive lack of judgement, but it wasn't meant to be realistic or too complicated for young viewers. The biggest fault with it is that the characters are settling into their roles and not being new and fresh. The main guy had more layers at the beginning of the season, but now is just a tough guy who recklessly makes stupid decisions.
And I agree with jack merchant, Rachel Bilson (Summer) does look very nice.

Ahh, not everyone is hot -- that girl who's going out with that guy who's a rebel, her mum isn't hot, and that guy who's a geek, who had two girls on the go last time I watched it, his grandfather is... well... old. Those two make an ugly couple.
It's a pretty tired story, but still compelling, and thoroughly watchable.

The O.C. kicks ass! It's got brillantly witty scripts and Adam Brody has to be one of the best comedic actors to come out of America in a long time. Plus the women are hot.
As opposed to Star Trek? Buffy? 24? Friends? Or practically any other television show.

It annoys me mainly because it's too popular these days (I watched the first episode's original airing and was into it for a while... until I noticed that idiots were watching it and it was devoid of any meaning what so ever) and it kinda lampoons the county I'd lived in for 10 of my 16 years.
