As far as can be determined, it's down for Europe, Austraila and parts of North America, but It's fine for me.

Down for me also... I just don't get why it's down for a lot of us, and not for the rest.

Too bad, I was about to pay my weekly 15 minutes visit, but oh well, just have to wait next week until I can there again It seems that this visit is always when they're down... Bad timing...

Wel assuming it is for real, it sounds like some net problems:
A. DNS serer faoul up
B. Some net traffic server kaput
C. A DDS attack jaming some traffic server

I think you are on the right track, Lefty.

I couldn't get there from work yeterday, but had no problem from home. (And I am SURE the routing is at least a little different. )

Today.... a little slow on the initial connection, but I can reach it from work.

Tracer route checks by some Poly guys indicate that it is some sort of traffic/router problem on the www backbone. Some people have fix their problems by using a proxy server to go around the bottleneck.

Oh sh1te, it's happened again. The www.apolyton.net page does not even load, nor does www.apolyton.net/forums . I even tried for www.apolyton.com/forums , but no cigar.

I either get an error message, "Explorer could not open search page" or then the loading of the page just freezes up. Or, it displays the usual "Page cannot load", "Server not found" routine.

Must... try... with... Opera...

Yup. Seems to be a routing problem.

I can't get there through either of 2 ISPs. A bunch of refugees showed up at another obscure board.

www.parliament.gr doesn't come up either.

I guess I'll have to believe Markos that it ain't the server. It's the d*mn goats chewing through cables again.

They even got the Finns.

If they got the Finns, no one is immune.

BTW. The link breaks down well within the Greek network.

That might explain why Europe, NA and Oceana are all effected.

Maybe the gerbils running the server ran out of carrots again.
