The OFFICIAL 'Apolyton is down again' -thread.

Until last night, one could access the new location via a link on the old site. Now the old domains are used by other things and the forums/index.php is nonexistant. So what's that freaking address of that settler server again?

Or is it absolutely dead for some time now?

I got the same thing I have been using them for years, but their persistent downtime and download 'attachment' issues has convinced me to join CivFanatics. You guys have really been the better site lately, especially with Civ3.

They are are a new dedicated server now. It take 2-3 days for the new adress to filter through all the DNS servers which is why some people get the Atristole Universty, where they have been temporatily hosted for 3 months. The regular apolyton.net url is working for me now, it may take a while longer eleswhere. Anyway, they are on their own server now, located in the USA with good acess to the backbone, so their reliablity should be very high.
