If you have a better idea, feel free.No forced collapses, thanks.

And it isn't exactly true that Byzantium has a forced collapse - I've seen it occasionally survive. I've even seen a surviving Rome once.
I don't think that an occasional large Mongolia is that bad at all.
I think that a proper respawn of Ming China would solve most of these problems.
Oh, and Hongwu should really have a larger UnitBuildProb then 12.
No such thing exists. The only forced collapse affects the Seljuks.I want to avoid forced collapses as much as possible but
if we have it in place for Rome & Byzantium,
I suppose it wouldn't hurt to hit Mongolia with it as well.
I've thought that on a number of occasions, too.I'm tempted to say just make Keshik ignore city Defense and be done with it.
The reason is that the flip depends on the stability of its current owners.Well, a major problem is that southern China doesn't return to Ming when it respawns.
It usually stays in the hands of the Thais or the Portuguese.

Some civilizations receive a hit on a certain date. That's not limited to Rome and Byzantium, usually stable civs like the Mughals and even Mongolia get them too. It's just that with Byzantium and especially with Rome, these hits are usually enough to bring them to collapse, since their stability is already low from losing cities and such. But Rome and Byzantium do get scheduled stability hits don't they?
I've seen Byzantium alive for awhile sometimes but never Rome, especially not past the Middle Ages.
Almost everyone gets scheduled stability hits. The Mongols too. That's not the same as forced collapses. But Rome and Byzantium do get scheduled stability hits don't they?

Yes, I've already said somewhere that I intend to rewrite the respawn mechanic. I think generally Rhye's idea that only cities with unstable owners should flip is alright, but maybe there should be a threshold of flipped cities after which every city in the respawn area flips. And if the flip depends on the stability of its current owners, should that be remedied in this instance? The loss of Guangzhou is a seriously crippling factor considering Thai culture spreads easier and blocks off a number of resources because the region is Foreign as opposed to Foreign Core.
Yes. I've been cautious because China before its collapse has been building huge armies even under Taizong's relatively low unit build probability. But I agree with Lone Wolf. I had no idea the UnitBuildProb was lowered THAT much.
It explains a lot. I can't very well imagine the man whose era name means "Vastly Martial" to be more peaceful than Gandhi.

Noticed on your screenshot and in my game: Holy Rome has a completed UHV goal.
Isn't Global Warming tied to buildings that produce unhealth? If so, I blame the plague. How on Earth did I get Global Warming in 1630?
I think you're right.Isn't Global Warming tied to buildings that produce unhealth? If so, I blame the plague.
@NorwegianSalmon: Probably yes, they have founded Protestantism in my game. But how was this goal counted if the UHV checks are disabled?
@iMuffin: Catholisism, as well as Islam, is always founded in Arabia unless it was already founded because Arabia is the first civ which starts with Theology.
Okay, seriously?
How on Earth did I get Global Warming in 1630?
