The "OMG! Look what happened!" Thread

You can bet on Christian Arabia if they had failed Islam and flipped a few Christian cities. This requires player interference because the AI is not capable of researching Divine Right ahead of Saladin's spawn. Most of the time however, Saladin will convert to Judaism if it is one of the two with Christianity.

Not too much of an omg, but I've never seen England building the Panama Canal before.

I managed to squat on rome as carthage, so Rome ended up in sicily and didn't do much. Somehow these guys got to theology first, the indians got it a few turns later.

The 1st and 3rd are OMGs, cuz any civ who has the sense to load a unit onto a galley can conquer Ireland;)

They aren't dog soldiers, the cities spawn automatically along with celtic gallic soldiers. Normally Rome conquers them fairly easily, but since Rome really didn't exist(I squatted), I left them alone and they celts had some time alone, and they developed christianity!

Thought he was talking about the first pic.

Actually it's likely that the Aztecs collapsed. If any of the Meso-american tribes collapse before 1500 they will become native not indy or barbarian.

Then explain the name of Tenochtitlan/Mexico City then. Wait... That's Portuguese that's not as OMG as I thought.

I don't think I've ever seen Isabella willing to trade world map with me, unless vassalized.

I just started a game with France. At the beginning it all looks quite normal, but after some turns strange things began to happen. I made the screenshot the moment the Americans spawned.

1. The Germans have been destroyed by the Romans, just one turn after they've spawned. This also gave me the chance to conquer Frankfurt.
Spoiler :

2. At around 1500 AD The Vikings conquered the Maya and nearly the Aztec, too.
Spoiler :

3. Since Rome destroyed the Germans they became a super power, always leading the scoreboard.
Spoiler :

4. Nearly all Europe is either allied, vassal or an ally of an ally. The big alliance: France with his Vassals Netherlands, Inca and Aztec, Spain with Vassal Mali, Rome and Russia with his Vassal Viking. The only country not in this alliance is England, but that should be obvieous :P EFIT: Just two turns later England became the vassel of Russia and America became the vassal of Rome. :P
Spoiler :

5. Russian Colonies in Africa.
Spoiler :

6. The Vikings still control half of England. Oh, and the reason why their Capital is there too isn't and OMG. I attacked him and he lost his normal Capital.
Spoiler :
