Al Jazeera said the Taliban were pissed that they destroyed as much as they did. They considered the stuff left a national asset they they had every right to.The Liar in Chief is hard at work.

Right, success and failure depends on the goals.
Looking at the numbers, it looks like we will get perhaps 60% of the Afghan collaborators out by the August 31st deadline.

150000 out of 250000 people is pretty good, especially since most of that was done in 1 week.
Some people also might say 100000 collaborators left behind is a failure.
**Edit**
Fixed numbers.
We got 12000 out on 27th, so figure 10000 on 28th and less each day.
think they *they being the Communist Cadre* got destroyed in the 1992-1996 war....
Najibullah was literally tortured, killed, strung up and desecrated by the Taliban in 1996.
They let the Mujaddeen into power and the Mujadeen cleaned house. A lot of them fled from 1992 to 1996, and while some supported the Northern Alliance, the Northern Alliance also became basically just this weird mix of everyone so the Communist sector dwindled into obscurity.
You know the story of Native Americans in your country, right? Just asking...Well if they were able to kill every communist then it must mean there never were that many

Perhaps for the same reason people in US can't restore the same level of salaries vs house, education and medical prices they had in 1950's and 60's?
You know that it takes 5-15% of population to define the future of a country? A lot of communists were killed in 1992-1996 and those who survived are not very keen on going through the experience again. The fact that Najibullah is considered to be the best president of a country doesn't mean that everyone will rise up to bring it back. They know Taliban is supported by pretty powerful organisations, why risk one's life for a chance that will be taken away form them?Ok but where are the numbers to prove a genocide of that scale happened in Afghanistan?
Not that everyone is awake I am sure things will change, right? Maybe tomorrow? On Friday? Not really comparable considering a hostile regime didn't violently overthrow the system to make that happen. Just kinda happened when everyone was asleep.

That sounds like thousands more were left behind...
The Taliban Celebrate Victory, With a Crisis Looming
With the final U.S. troops gone, triumphant scenes were clouded by the prospect of famine and financial collapse. The Taliban spokesman called for international engagement.
Afghanistan is deeply impoverished, with a third of its citizens struggling to survive in the face of what the United Nations calls crisis levels of food insecurity, with the prospect that the country could functionally be out of food within a month. With many state employees no longer showing up for work, basic services like electricity are also under threat.
Fighting between the Taliban and government holdouts was reported on Tuesday

the WH has corrected that, 98% were evacuated
I wonder how many are in the 'wanted to stay' category
