The Thread Where We Discuss Guns and Gun Control

It wasn't ever good good. But it was at least fun for a while.

How did it not lose you waaaaaay before this?
This is funny and correct all at the same time. The idea that one suffered through the egregious flaws of the PT with your fandom intact... only to lose it over the minor sleights of TLJ... is just sooooo melodramatically absurd that I don't know what to do other then sit back and laugh whenever I hear it :smug:

Whateves peeps

The Empire Strikes Back is genuinely good good. The original is likewise quite good. I would at the very least certainly put Empire on any list of essential films with a list size longer than like, 50? 100? The rest are all trash though.

I was 10 or 11 when the prequels launched. I didn't know what a good movie is back then and I rarely ever watch them now. Even still, I'd watch them over TLJ. Maybe not Phantom Menace.

On reflection, yeah I'd take Phantom Menace over TLJ. The distinct lack of walrus breastfeeding scenes and edgy shoulder swiping put it over the top.

Well fine. I would buy a pew pew blaster. We have weaponized blinding hand rifles yet? Somebody is going to tell Geneva to go stuff it.

We could have Kirk making gunpowder to kill the Gorn.

Has anyone ever read Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen? It's an empire based on black powder guns and ruled by a church with a monopoly on the gunpowder recipe. Drop in a modern American with enough basic knowledge to start his own factory and a revolution begins.
