Poland is in the Gamma Quadrant somewhere halfway between Dominion territory and the wormhole.

Poland is in Eastern Europe

It is one of the few things the UN got right!

It's also one of the few things UN hasn't updated since the 1950's! :D

(that map I mean)

Anyway, the CIA calls Poland Central Europe. Who do you trust more, the CIA or the UN?

OK, since everyone is picking on Poland here, I'll take the opposite state on the issue. Poland should return its lost lands back. It should be that way. Though of course, it makes Poland more Eastern European then before:

I am a Pole, and I approve this message! :goodjob:

(I'll also allow you to call us Eastern Euro's too)

It's in Polynesia:

Poland is in my neighbor's apartment.

your neighbor's apartment is in Northern Africa?

It's not quite that small, but yes, I had to resize it a bit in order for it to fit snugly by Florida.
Texas: 268,820 sq mi (696,241 km2)
Poland: 120,726 sq mi (312,672 km2)

Strange that it has post Cold War borders then :p

The UN might be a useless debating society but i'm willing to trust its information over the CIA's any day.

Yawn...it is amazing how primitive tricks help people to build up their ego. Men, get back to real life and find some constructive work, 'cause it seems you even don't realize how low you fell.

Well they updated the borders, that's about all.

I don't understand what we are debating here really?

Poland is closer culturally to Germans, Czechs, Austrians and Hungarians then it is to Russia.

Polish language is West Slavic, like it's Central European sisters. Not East Slavic like Eastern European Russia.

Poland is Catholic, a trait shared by Western and Central Europeans. Eastern Europeans are Orthadox.

Poland uses the Roman alphabet(and always had), like other Western and Central Europeans.

Polish cuisine is Central European and very similar to Czech and some German groups. Most of the local dishes shared between Poland and Russia, got to Russia because Poland controlled Ukraine, which after the partitions, shared it with Russia.

As for Geographically, Mirc has proven that the center of Europe is in Eastern Poland, due to the curve of the sphere known as the Earth. Any flat maps would not correctly portray this.

And does it really matter where Poland is geographically? It's funny we are discussing which part of a continent is a country, when this continent is made up by Christian's who thought they were too superiour to everyone in the first place!

Europe's borders are defined by European(*cough* christian *cough*) culture. So if we continued this pattern by dividing Europe culturally, why would Poland be Eastern European, when it is Central (or Western?) European culturally? Is it because of dem evil commies from 20 years ago? :mischief:

Anyway, my point is, this thread is a fail.

Can't we compromise and say that it is in Middle-Eastern Europe?
Or we could use the United Nations Environment Programmes definition that shows us that Poland is in central Europe, just like Turkey.

There are parts of East Europe that are further west than parts of Western Europe (Kaliningrad area vs. eastern greece). :crazyeye:

Poland is in my toilet, clogging it up.

Poland is in the north Atlantic ocean

Why didn't you give Poland to Canada? That way, it wouldn't be so far for Polish people of either country to visit their relatives! :)

To answer your points:

1. We are debating where Poland is. That should have been clear from the thread title and OP.

2. It matters to the Polish people. If they didn't know where Poland was, they would get lost and always be late for supper.

3. For you, perhaps, but for most of us, it's fun (and sanctioned by the moderators as long as it remains fun and no nasty stuff gets posted). ;)
