Partly because they bought the USSR's propaganda about only entering Poland to keep the Germans from occupying te wole territory, mostly because they had enough trouble fighting Germany. Why pick a fight wot the Soviets as well, when they already had one powerful enemy? Tis is the same reason the Allies did their best not to provoke Japan within reason.
There was a loose plan to invade Europe in the event of either a communist uprising or a general conflagration. There was nothing really concret though. Or do you mean after WWII started but before Barbarossa? Because there was definitely a plan to invade German-occupied Europe, though again, there doesn't seem to have been much concrete planning behind it.
No, it is very unlikely. The Soviets had already blown attempts at spreading socialism in Europe in Hungary and Spain. Short of the fascist and Nazi dictatorships imploding and communist successor-states springing up in their place - most likely in Italy, Albania and Yugoslavia, I believe - there wasn't really the possibility of an Eastern bloc forming. Stalin might have had a crack at the Baltics and Finland, but it was probably unlikely.
Yes. I don't know if the curtain rod is legit though. That spider's actually on the smaller side for a house spider in Australia. It's friendly and keeps bugs away.
Crocs won't come in your house unless you're dumb enough to leave the door open at night. They can't climb well, so windows are fine. Australia has really big mosquitoes, so we need really big spiders to kill them.
Why would Australian burglars be afraid of Australian spiders? This isn't Greece; not all our crime is caused by foreigners.
