Supergirl
Shaft
Spawn
Blade
Elektra

?
On the top of my head:

1. Hancock
2. Mortal Kombat
3. Barbarella
4. The Hulk (okay, he is sometimes white, though we know him for being green)
5. The Avengers

I count seven which actually qualify as superhero films, and only five which really qualify as starring people who aren't white and male; the Hulk is white, let's be honest, and 57/th of the Avengers, including 4/4 of the big names, are white dudes. Of the remaining five which qualify, Hancock was made 6 years ago, Elektra was made 9 years sago, the Blade films were made 10-14 years, Spawn was made 17 years ago, and Supergirl was made 30 years ago. We might as well throw in Catwoman, which is the only example to star somebody who is neither white nor male, which was also made 10 years ago.

So if we exclude Supergirl, which really has nothing to do with contemporary superhero films, we're still only looking at three adaptations of comic-book superheroes, a trilogy of borderline-superhero films based on a comic (and I'd honestly call Blade action-fantasty rather than suerphero), and one original superhero, over the course of seventeen years. That's what it takes to reach a count of five. In contrast, there have been more superhero films starring white men in the last fourteen months: Captain America, Spiderman, Thor, Wolverine, Iron Man, Superman. We might also count Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men, which had white male leads. So is it really fair to say that the superhero genre is particularly unwelcoming to white males, or particularly welcoming to anybody else?

If you toss Shaft out of the superhero pile I am going to come after you heathen.

Either way, since time matters, Lucy is owning this summer.

If it means anything, I've been here since '08 and this is the worst I've ever seen it.

There's a reason I stopped visiting those threads ages ago.
Even the Jews are running for cover!
How the heck could Hamas dig 3KM-long tunnels into Israel without the Israelis knowing? As the meme says, "I'm not angry, I am just amazed."
Slowly and carefully.
Besides madviking's incredibly accurate comment, the main thing about it is that even if you're discovered, trapped, captured and/or killed, your inventiveness, resourcefulness, bravery will keep the enemy on edge while boosting your side's morale. Men are cheap.
Cannot believe nobody said Wonder Woman yet.
Jane Fonda. I stopped reading after she was mentioned.

I did mean Lucy, but there is that too.

It's representative of it's readership and the demographic in the countries where it is prevalent.

The assumption that superheroes are supposed to be straight white men is dumb, and the assumption that superheroes appearing as anything other than straight white men can only be an exception or a marketing gimmick is even dumber, so we should be glad if people who hold to these assumptions feel alienated by Marvel's recent changes, because it proves things are moving in the right direction.

Plus, Scarlet Witch is half-Jewish, half-Romani, so the terrifying march of racial and cultural diversity began before it was reflected in the skin-tone of the A-listers.

The fury over the superheroes ethnic backgrounds is just moronic.
It is political correctness gone mad. Being a white man is seen as a disease in this day and age.

I agree with Quackers. Who gives a damn that they are straight white males, Jesus Christ.

The majority of these heroes are made by straight white males and their target audiences are generally geeky straight white males. How best to appeal to these audiences, you may ask? You make it so they can identify with the heroes, by making them straight white males. Sometimes even geeky, like Spider Man.

Besides, there's plenty of female superheroes out there. Which you then tried your hardest to discredit.

^Why do people insist on calling Gypsies 'Romani'?

I ninja-fixed it even before refreshing… apparently, typing "^" and hitting a space will give you a ^ with this keyboard. If you don't, you'll add it to the following letter, if possible: ŵêŷûîôâŝĝĥ.

Sounds like the US international layout. It's become my default for all the extra characters you can write without memorizing codes or going to a special menu for inserting them.

No, I don't use the US International layout. But then, Linux comes with a myriad configurations…

Changing the demographics of white male superheroes will just tell children that those things are defective or undesirable in some way.

If you want to be a really politically correct, Traitorfish & the far left should start-up their own creation. One where a Lesbian, Muslim transgender, wheelchair bound women saves the world with her priviledge destroying superpowers. "heh, your micro-aggressions don't work on me! you evil white, middle class man!".
