This is exactly why we just need to annex Canada. So good people like SS-18 ICBM can travel in our glorious country without difficulty.

They should just do their driver's license like we do here in MI. We can drive back and forth through Canada with an enhanced one.

Isn't there a Commonwealth condition you colonials fulfil? Are Commonwealth countries granted easier passage?

Used to be, but the special treatment was removed a few decades ago when the UK turned to Europe (greatly displeasing many older Australians at the time, and probably accelerating our turn to Asia). A lot of Australians could also get UK passports due to a parental or grandparental link, an avenue which is also no longer as readily available (e.g. my grandfather got a UK passport because his grandfather was born in the UK). Now Australians are treated just like other non-threatening non-Europeans (like Americans, Canadians, Mexicans & Japanese, to name several). Which means the slow queue and a thorough interrogation whenever anyone young tries to enter (they haven't bothered me as much after about the 10th successful entry).

Well, my thoughts went like:

Perhaps Einstein, as he made such fundamental leaps in theory with basicly no resources.
Then I thought what about the Greeks, say Archimedes. They had even less to work with, as Einstein had 2000 or 500 years of science behind him.
And then I thought, probably someone we have never heard of. You need a load of luck to be successful in science, and there will have been more people without luck than with it, so odds are one of those was actually more brilliant than all the successful ones.
 
I'd go for Sir Isaac Newton and Niels Bohr, the 'Great Dane' of quantum physics.
 
Newton had to invent a new form of math, so I'd go with him as well.
 
Gottfried Leibnitz may have invented calculus first, but Newton did have various other strings to his bow as well.

But how many Gaussian distribution's are worth one calculus, or Euler–Poisson–Darboux equation's go into one pi?
 
i'm biased as an engineer, but a lot of the stuff da vinci did was WAY beyond his time (hence, brilliant)

I think of Leonardo as an engineer and artist primarily, though I'm sure he could be viewed as a scientist. Also, if you wouldn't call Ezio Auditore "da Firenze", you shouldn't call Leonardo "da Vinci".
 
I think it was likely some of the Greeks. Like Archimedes. Not that they were necessarily that much more brilliant. But rather that what they did, they did with so much less foundation built by others.
