1. Treason is defined as "only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." 2. Lockheed, although HQ might be in UFS territory, is an international company, and Lockheed was not mandated to cease operations with CLS before this time. Lockheed had no intent of directly afflicting UFS. We were just doing our job: research. If we had meant to adhere to the enemy, then why would we request to move our headquarter deeper into UFS?

3. We were not bribed, we were only paid to do our job: research. War is not the interest of Lockheed, research is, and we desperately lacked money to pursue them.

4. As you will find, if you search more closely, that we were true to your contract. No confidential UFS informations were neither sold, nor leaked, and we did maintain that we will do business with anyone who were willing to pay as long as it did not violate the previous term.

5. International contracts are previleged documents, as they contain confidential materials we were trusted to keep, and they should be excluded from evidences as provided by the Ninth Amendment.

6. Also, the subject of this indictment is the current CEO of Lockheed, not the company itself, since the BOD accused him. So, according to the Fifth Amendment's Self-Incrimination Clause: "[...] nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against [itself...]", the company itself cannot be the defendant of this cause.

Be it known that we won't support the CLS unless you decide that you will let them go their own way. This is not in no way an insult to the nation, I'm just pointing out that the CLS is a rebellion against their own democratically chosen government, which is, in our opinion, a very stupid thing. However, while we can support you diplomatically, our tiny state won't be able to send you any help similar to the one given to the CLS: this would have to be an international effort in order to balance everything.

Of course, all of us remember that the former United States of America, the core of the current Union of Federated States, was itself a colony of the British Empire before rebelling against them. The difference here is that the USA was doing that against a government in which they didn't have any representation, real or not. And we also remember the Guerra de Secesión (OOC: the name given to the American Civil War in Spain), happening over the facts that a president not to the liking of the Southern states had been chosen and the possible end of slavery.

This Second Guerra de Secesión is happening for something even more stupid! Please, stop this senseless war! Stop the senseless killings and the senseless destruction of a nation!

OOC: In the previous TWTUD, in the year 1936, nearly all the members of the House of Representatives were killed by a band led by an Argentinian called Perón and formed by Mexican expatriates. Apparently, there were documents found in the archives of the Argentinian and Brazilian Government saying that they had funded the killings, and the US declared war on them with the help of several other countries. This ended with Venezuela being part of the USA and Argentina and Brazil being invaded for some time. When TWTUD ended, TheLastJacobite (who was then the USA and now the UFS) said that he had engineered the assassination so that he could expand into South America. This was, in a moment between the end of TWTUD and the start of TWTUD II, revealed to the public as the Lindbergh Papers (after Charles Lindbergh, who was the US President when the massacre was formed), and the anger over this caused the secession of the Southern states to form the CLS.

Your arguments have weight. The main problem is that here in Andalusia we don't have much experience with democracy (not ever since the disappearance of the Bourbon Empire), and so we thought that when a president was elected, the whole nation accepted it, no matter their opinion of the government.
