TIL Quebec is large enough to fit both Texas + France and still have some room left over.

Would the land surface area of all French speaking countries of the world fit in Quebec area ?

Today I learned that even when all the expansion/stuff packs are 50/25% off, buying the full collection for the Sims 4 will set you back a few hundred dollars. :dubious:

Algeria is one of the bigger countries in the world, so my guess, without checking, would be "nope".

Today I learned about multiple system atrophy, which is somewhat similiar to Parkinson's (it's a synucleinopathy like PD and has a lot of the same symptoms) but doesn't really respond to dopaminergics and progresses a lot more quickly. :scared:

Recently I learned that Sikhism is a bit different: Most religions have a religious leader. The Sikhs had too, until their 10th guru declared their holy book to be their next guru https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru_Granth_Sahib . So essentially the head of Sikhism is a book.

Today I learned about the Bayer's Lake Mystery Walls:

The Bayers Lake Mystery Walls are a series of stone structures and walls of unknown origin and uncertain age in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

It's been around since at least the 1700s.

The proposed model includes what the authors call a double whammy: First a blast of ionizing radiation, then a massive radioactive cloud of ejecta that persists over a long period. Both which could alter the magnetosphere of Earth and allow the solar wind to damage extant flora and fauna. The latter cloud effect could persist over long periods. Which matches the known geologic record of a ~100000 year decline in species diversity at the end of the Devonian.

supernovas oh nooo

St Louis Outfielder and stolen base legend Lou Brock died at 81, he was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and lost a leg to diabetes

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Brock

I grew up watching him play. He joined the Cardinals in '64 after the Cubs grew impatient with his hitting. Stan the Man Musial retired in '63 so the Cards were looking for a speedy outfielder and Lou took off and didn't stop running for almost 2 decades.

After Brock was traded to the Cardinals, his career turned around significantly. He moved to left field and batted .348 and stole 33 bases for the remainder of the 1964 season.[5] At the time of the trade, the Cardinals were 28–31, in eighth place in the National League, trailing even the Cubs, who were 27–27 and in sixth place. Brock helped the Cardinals storm from behind to capture the National League pennant on the last day of the season.[2] Four months to the day after Brock's trade, the Cardinals won the 1964 World Series in seven games over the favored New York Yankees, who were appearing in their 14th World Series in 16 years (and their last until a dozen years later).

What on earth does this mean? I like the shoes and the girl is pretty, but wha?

I agree with you. I just was noting that apparently there is a wiki for (celebrity?) feet :)
Dare we ask how you discovered this? ;)
