Trump explained - because you all are blind

I may be overestimating the significance of this line but I tend to think that they don't need to be told to blame the Democrats. They voted for Trump because they already hate the Democrats and blame them for everything. In this sense it doesn't matter what Trump says; they voted for him and rather than accept the bruised ego of "I got duped" they will either continue to steadfastly deny reality, or they will simply think "well this is bad but [insert democrat, doesn't matter which] is even worse so what can I do?"

Judging by the health care polling, only 30% of those polled say that Democrats will be to blame for ongoing problems with the ACA, and that's not even a particularly unreasonable position to take considering they passed it by themselves and we're only 6 months out from Obama leaving office. So I think the issue here isn't that you're wrong that a lot of the kinds of people you describe exist, but rather that they aren't as large a slice of the electorate as you might think.

As for people adjusting their attitudes, I don't think most people put much thought into it. Trump is already down to something like 20% of people who strongly approve of him as president, where his strong disapproval numbers are in the 40s. People won't have some epiphany complete with soul-searching and shame, it'll be more like a switch flipping and they'll think, "that's the end of that" and move on.

The fact that people no longer want to come here is not a good thing.
Annnnnd this is why you guys are losing. Is there any hope for the left when the measure of their success is the number of illegal immigrants coming into the country?

Oh good, I was worried that billionaires might not be earning as much these days.
Ditto.

Ah good, so then it appears I've successfully debunked your absurd list of "accomplishments." Hooray for me.

I think "people don't want to come here any more" is a pretty powerful statement on how far we've fallen in esteem in a mere 6 months, yes. We somehow survived just fine for decades with plenty of illegal immigrants despite what racist troglodytes like to claim, so making them not want to come here any more is not a sign of anything good. That you bought into the alarmism just makes me feel sorry for you, frankly.

Yeah, nothing like having people coming over here to feed off of our generous welfare system and compete for jobs. So great for America! Over 90 million Americans out of the workforce, but we need more immigrants!

You've been on this Russia nonsense for what, 7 months now? Yeah, you don't get to accuse others of alarmism.

As a retired person...part of that bogus "out of the workforce" number that lying scum bags have fed you in an effort to raise your alarm level...I personally have no desire to be told fresh foods will only be available if people like me go out and replace the people who used to pick them.

Esteem is quite significant but also something which varies in the individual pov. For myself American esteem went up since I see hope which I havent seen for years and possibility of various improvements. But quite frankly if the MSM was behind the potus like there were behind him when USA invaded Iraq there would be no loss but rather great gain in esteem and the same goes for the immigrants eagerness for american life. Its the inner disturbances not the outer actions or personalities which are the most to be blamed for the loss of prestige appearance, imo.

So you want immigrants to do the dirty work that you'd rather not be bothered with? That's pretty racist, dude.

For the record, that number comes from the Labor Department, and it is a record high number. But please, tell me more about these "lying scumbags".

The invisible hand of free market, dude. You need to chill out and think less socialist...

In net terms, though, people haven't been coming here for a while - since the economic crisis IIRC.

Hang on, you want to replace the state with a regime of pure contract on the basis that it will unleash the free market and bring power to the people, but you're for restricting the free movement of people around the globe thus preventing their participation in the free labor market?
:confused::confused::confused:

Color me confused! Without a proper state how will you prevent the dusky hordes from committing white genocide by overrunning the West?

Considering we have a such a messed up welfare system that they can come over here and steal from hard working Americans, and a bunch of labor laws which encourage employers to hire immigrants over Americans, I consider it a necessary evil.

It's funny, most Rothbardians make more of an effort to disguise the fact that their free market philosophy is a thin veneer stretched over Ayn Randian ubermensch nonsense and racist paranoia.

At the present form of geopolitical, socioeconomical and psychoideological global environment some degree of restriction of free movement is absolutely necessary.

Infracted for flaming and trolling.

Sure. The lying scumbags are the ones who present that number WHICH INCLUDES RETIRED PEOPLE to idiots while suggesting to the idiots that it means something about the availability of jobs as opposed to the aging of the population.

Get it now, or do I need to use smaller words?

The number of immigrants we "need" is actually determined by the free market. I am neither in favor of more or fewer immigrants. Rather, I favor a number of immigrants which services the demand for immigrant labor. I'm surprised you don't subscribe to free market principles; are you instead in favor government forcing job creators to run their businesses a certain way?
