Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 4 = 7 - 3. There is limited space for national parks, even as Canada. For one thing, the amount of snow/tundra depends heavily on map type. If you're playing on inland sea, then yeah there is a lot of space. If you're playing on an island map, not so much. Even a standard continents or pangea map can place the land masses away from the poles. You can start in the middle of map as Canada, nowhere near tundra and get encircled by the AI which means you'll have loyalty issues trying to settle in the tundra. Also lets not ignore the fact that Mounties are straight up worse than Cavalry the vast majority of the time when in a war.
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 16
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 29
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 4
Toa (Maori) - 29 = 28 + 1. A resourceless combo of a Varu and a Legionary. Not bad.
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 25
Warak'aq (Inca) - 26
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 29
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 7

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 14 (17-3) These aren't even the best galley replacement UU. People are overlooking these IMO. Even if you like that it protects oversea trade routes... how many of those are you even losing a game?
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 13

Mountie (Canada) - 5 (4+1) I will also come to the Mountie's defense, because quite frankly I think a lot of you are just wrong about it. First of all, holding it's CS against it is pretty silly because it's not a unit built around combat... it'd be like complaining about how Fast Workers stunk at combat in Civ5 (or 4? I forget). The fact that they can defend themselves at all is just icing on the cake. Second, people have said "yeah, the tundra is great for parks, but you'll have mines and lumbermills everywhere". We've spent months now complaining about how Canada's tundra farms are pretty weak, so these tundra cities aren't likely to grow that large, so you can probably avoid putting mines and mills where you'd put your parks, and even if you don't you can easily remove the mines and lumbermills to build your parks later on. Finally, sure you can take the Aurora patheon to collect faith to buy naturalists... but only if you want to waste district slots in your small tundra cities to begin with, which I'd rather not. Mounties let you avoid locking into one pantheon and having to build those holy sites altogether. Finally, I don't see the number of park sites being a disadvantage when you have so many ways to raise appeal - you have hockey rinks, you can use city parks, you can plant forests, you can build certain wonders (Alhambra and Golden Gate Bridge), you can recruit certain great people. Yes, you may have to change up how you play the game to take advantage of them to their fullest, but if you don't that's kind of on you and not the unit itself. Play Canada to it's potential and these guys can literally save you 10000+ faith! No way should this go before so many mediocre combat units you might use for half an age.

Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24
Janissary (Ottomans) - 26
Jong (Indonesia) - 26
Legion (Rome) - 25
Keshig (Mongolian) - Eliminated (2-3) It must be me that does this to my boy. Oh Keshigs. For a brief brilliant moment they did right by you. Now you are reduced to simply a faster crossbowman. You should be so much more. So much more.
Mamluk (Arabia) - 26
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 5
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 16
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30 (29+1) Another unit that should not be receiving downvotes while so much mediocrity remains on board.
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 4
Toa (Maori) - 29
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 25

Huszár (Hungary) - 13
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24
Janissary (Ottomans) - 26+1=27 - We're talking about a unit with a free promotion, stronger than the unit it replaces, and twice as cheap to produce. And also a unit you can upgrade into. Their only malus occurs in case you never conquered a city in the three eras before, and given that the Ottomans are a Civ built for domination, you most probably do already have some foreign cities, so in the end, the only problematic part most probably won't bother you at all.
Jong (Indonesia) - 26
Legion (Rome) - 25
Mamluk (Arabia) - 26
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 5
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 16-3=13 - Not bad, definitely not. I'd say we got rid of the bad units by now (I'd only argue about Hoplites being removed too soon, but I can live with it). But in the end, these guys are just mobile swordsmen who can afford to worry less about archers. Which, I'd say, is not a bad thing, but it is not really amazing either.
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30

Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 4
Toa (Maori) - 29
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 22 (25-3) I'll say it again: I don't have time to make these when I start on the coast with crappy production. Same problem with the Bireme, which I'll get to next. But here's the real kicker: a non-unique Galley would also have most of the abilities of the Viking Longship, because the coastal raiding, ocean movement, and neutral healing are all benefits of the Leader. Actually if you look at the code, the Viking Longship doesn't have any of those abilities on its own; the only thing it has is 1 extra movement if starting on coast and extra strength. Woo, its a War-Cart, but stuck on water. So really really meh
Warak'aq (Inca) - 26
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 30 (29+1) Literally no downside. Available from the start, can't be countered, stays relevant for a long time, good upgrade path, fast movement and strong combat, gets its production policy card by doing something you wanted to do anyway (clear barb camps)... what's not to love? I wish these would just replace the Chariot so CS would stop asking me to build them instead of War-Carts but like whatever
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 7

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 14
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14 (13+1) In a game where pillaging is still destructive for your enemy and lucrative for you, these guys are some of the best pillagers around. 5 MP and the ability to move after pillaging/promotions mean you can keep them alive easier. They also come online around the time you unlock corps, which makes them beefier. I love going Theocracy, building the Grandmaster's Chapel and running the Raid policy card when unleashing these guys on the world, racking up a ton of faith along the way.
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19

Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 5
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 10 (13-3) I think this one has flown under the radar. It's pretty mediocre, not bad, not good, which is what should be on this point of the rankings. An offensive unit for a civ that tends towards defense and tall play.
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 4
Toa (Maori) - 29

I thought I posted just after midnight last night, but I don't see my post so I am doing so now. My apologies if I am just missing something.

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 14 -3 = 11 When you get down to it it's just a galley and galley's are really only good for providing siege support on coastal cities.
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 18
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 28 +1 = 29 This is one of the top 5 units hands down no debate. Stop reducing it because you do not know how to play them.
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 25
Huszár (Hungary) - 13
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24
Janissary (Ottomans) - 27

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 11
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 18 - 3 = 15 Not a bad unit, but it really does come too late for it to have such impact as the other units listed here.
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 29
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 25
Huszár (Hungary) - 13
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24

Legion (Rome) - 25
Mamluk (Arabia) - 26
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22

Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 4
Toa (Maori) - 29
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 22
Warak'aq (Inca) - 26
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 30
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 7 + 1 = 8 The strongest Medieval unit, especially if you can effectively push the enemy with them. Definitely shouldn't be this low.

If the rule is vote once per day then here's my vote for today, though my vote came in pretty late last night so I don't know. I've been shifting time-zones.

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 11
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 16 (15 + 1) Having just played an Australia game, these guys come right on time for when forward-settled cities are starting to rebel, and are strong enough to take them in one or two shots. Seriously, Diggers are crazy strong when taking cities in their era. And then you can, most likely, liberate those cities back to their owners for Curtin's production bonus. A fantastic unit that works with the rest of its civ.
Eagle Warrior (Aztec) - 29
Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 25
Huszár (Hungary) - 13
Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24
Janissary (Ottomans) - 27
Jong (Indonesia) - 26
Legion (Rome) - 25
Mamluk (Arabia) - 26
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 5
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 10
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 1 (4 - 3) Exists for cool and flavor more than anything else. Doesn't really affect how you play as Japan. Window is way too small, and they have to be hard-built.
Toa (Maori) - 29
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 22
Warak'aq (Inca) - 26
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 30
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 8

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 11

Janissary (Ottomans) - 27
Jong (Indonesia) - 26
Legion (Rome) - 25
Mamluk (Arabia) - 26
Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Mountie (Canada) - 2 (5-3=2) The way Mounties are implemented feels awkward to me. I guess it depends on how much value you put on National Parks. These guys can help you win but only for a very specific game style. Why are military units making parks again?
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 10
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 30
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 1
Toa (Maori) - 29
Varu (India) - 25
Viking Longship (Norway) - 22
Warak'aq (Inca) - 26
War-Cart (Sumeria) - 30
Winged Hussar (Poland) - 9 (8+1=9) These have a base strength of 55 (vs knight 48) and cost half the iron of a knight. Muskets are also 55 strength but have half the movement. Pushing culture to get WHs also gets you to Nationalism and later Mobilization allowing you to make Corps and Armies. If done properly these are the last units you need to sweep the map. If you know how to use them their knock-back is devastating, especially if the target has no room to be knocked back. You can't upgrade to them but Poland is great at producing faith. Once you're rolling you can faith-buy a new one on the front lines every turn. It takes a different play-style to use these well but they're brutally effective if you know how.

Mountie (Canada) - ELIMINATED (3 - 2) It's just not a good combat unit, and it's other ability to create National Parks is not sufficient to make it really worthwhile. Time to go.
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 10
Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 31 (30 + 1) Mobility and range is a great combination, giving these guys a real tactical advantage on the battlefield. They also synergize really well with Nubia's abilities, come into play early, and upgrade from an existing early game unit you are likely to have a few of in any case. What's not to like?

Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 13 (16 - 3) - I have never built one for actual use only for era score. Too late for the type of civ.

Hypaspist (Macedon) - 22
Immortal (Persia) - 24
Janissary (Ottomans) - 28
Jong (Indonesia) - 27 (26 + 1) - I love these, although a bit situational to having a good water map. The faith buy is powerful. The siege ability for when you get them is game over for the AI.

Hetairoi (Macedon/Alexander) - 26 (25+1) These guys are awesome. And they upgrade into Knights! Although I'm having a hard time deciding between them and the Hypaspist, since both are just important cogs in the unstoppable war machine that is Macedonia.

Mandekalu Cavalry (Mali) - 22
Minas Geraes (Brazil) - 27
Ngao Mbeba (Kongo) - 7 (10-3) A middling unit. When I last played as Kongo, they were fine for pushing back a forward settling neighbor, but Swordsmen would have performed the same. The theme goes well with Kongo's kit, but they have little mechanical synergy.

Barbary Corsair (Ottomans) - 20
Bireme (Phoenicia) - 8 (11-3) - Not only is it a naval unit which are fairly useless in this game, it's a galley (who cares). Yes, it defends traders (on water) but only within four tiles. I can't be bothered to constantly monitor trade routes when they are so easy and cheap to replace anyway.
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 14 (13+1) - Infantry come in at an important time. Infantry remain useful for quite some time. You can only have as much infantry as you have oil. Diggers are infantry that require no oil. Meaning you can, especially if you beeline, use them to crush your enemies ability to access oil or create a long standing 'oil based army' which in turn may allow you to remain the most dominant nation until the end of the game with ease (If the AI made use of planes I would rate the digger lower, but it doesn't, so I won't).

Bireme (Phoenicia) - 5 (8-3) - Highly situational as needs nearby AI to settle the coasts early on. In my DIdo Inland Sea game I took a lot of the coastal settling spots to build Cothons and didn’t have anyone to use the Bireme against.

Pítati Archer (Nubia) - 31
Redcoat (England/Victoria) - 17
Samurai (Japan) - 2 (1+1) - This shouldn’t be next to go. Cheaper and stronger than a Knight and can still use rams. Also benefits from oligarchy.

Digger (Australia) - 15 (14 + 1) You will build Infantry, and at a time when absolutely everything needs oil, it's valuable this doesn't. Also the bonuses are pretty powerful (+17 CS over Infantry).

Bireme (Phonecia) - 2 (5-3) that early, you can't expect to take over a civ just by taking the coastal cities (if any), and are bound to have serious loyalty problem from those if you are not on your capital continent... So it won't give you the game for itself..
Black Army (Corvinus/Hungary) - 21
Conquistador (Spain) - 28
Cossack (Russia) - 14
De Zeven Provinciën (Netherlands) - 19
Digger (Australia) - 16 (15+1) With the way ressources are to be earned before being able to build unit, diggers are sure sexy, since refining (petrol) and replaceable parts (infantry) are on two different branches of the tech tree and in similar position... IF or course, you are lucky to find oil spot on land, and not need to wait for plastic to be able to gather oil... With diggers, you just can rush replaceable part, and worry about oil when you have flatten your neighbours. (And if oil is scare, you can still churm all the digger you want)
