If no investigation has been done, one certainly should be. I don't see why this needs asking.

What needs to be investigated is what the terrorists were doing so far from Iraq, the central front in the war on terror. Didn't they know that London was off limits while we are fighting them over there?

Why do we need all these enquiries? Something bad happens, let's have an enquiry! What's it actually going to find out and will it be worth it. I doubt it will uncover anything of use and will just be throwing money down the drain. Spend the money on intelligence.

When something bad happens we generally want to find out why and how.

20% of the World's CCTV cameras are in the UK yet:

To date, no CCTV images of the four alleged suicide bombers have ever been released showing all four of the accused in London on July 7th 2005.

There's a wealth of reasons to be skeptical about the Government's account of 7/7 not least the dodgy CCTV footage, which can be analysed here (half way down page) and appears to have been heavilly doctored:

It's quite true the reflection shows the front leg in front of the rear leg, when a true reflection would show the rear leg first. It's almost impossible to have a rush hour CCTV frame at Luton station showing only 4 guys. Actually the analysis of this one is pretty straight - it's a BS image and no mistake guvnor! There's also bogus train times etc.

What's more surprising is the new info about Peter Power, the man in who said:

POWER: ...at half-past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for, er, over, a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing upright!

PETER ALLEN: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?

Well who is this guy:

His distinguished career includes being deputy forward controller at the scene of the shooting of WPC Yvonne Fletcher, an incident that occurred during the Libyan People's Bureau siege, as well taking a senior role in the Oxford Circus underground fire and the King's Cross station fire operations.

During the Oxford Circus fire incident of 1984, a crisis situation that earnt Mr Power the title of 'Pied Piper of the Underground', Power commandeered an underground train on which he happened to be travelling, lied to passengers over the train's tannoy system about the severity of the situation that faced them before giving the train's driver "a certain bit of advice to his face" after which the driver, "was knocked out".

Worse still, he has links to Rudi Giuliani.

Yet Blair and co say that no investigation is necessary. I think they're right, this one's pretty obvious, we should just move straight to the lynching phase. :( My wife was in London that day on a bus not far from the explosions and she called me to ask what the hell was going on so I've been following the developments in this case quite closely.

Democracy dear boy. When something bad happens we want to know which elected official is at fault so we don't elect the bugger again.

It costs money but it's the difference between us and a propoganda led dictatorship.

Do we ever get truly independent enquiries in Britain? Any so-called “independent” enquiries invariably would be set up by Blair, with a Tony Crony in charge and be given such restrictive parameters that it would never be a full enquiry anyway. (Got to think about security after all – we cannot reveal secret matters of state etc. etc)

Blair will then privately tell his crony what the result of the “enquiry” should be.
And hey-presto, a few months (and millions) later, the result will be just as Blair ordered.

Sadly therefore, why bother?

Cynically yours,
MT

The facts we know are: Some people made some bombs, went on transport, and blew them up. No matter who you elect in government, it's difficult to actually stop something like that without having security checks, which are already done on transport like planes. However, having these extensive tests on a bus service would be ridiculous and as such an enquiry won't be able to help us and is just a waste of money.

All it does is pay people to regurgitate what has already been said.

The 'facts' we have been told are as you say above. Whilst it may later transpire that those 'facts' are indeed true, an inquiry removes all doubt.

Not only does it keep the Government on their toes, it ushers the Conspiracy Theorists onto a different subject.
