USA Foreign Policy

.......
I don't know what you're trying to argue because you aren't making a lick of sense.
That must be 'cause you are mistaken, or don't remember correctly. Or you might be delusional. All symptoms of Liberalism i might add. You'd best get treatment for that Liberalism before it develops into socialism, before reaching terminal communism!

...The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by the main character in the 1938 stage play Gas Light, known as Angel Street in the United States, and the film adaptations released in 1940 and 1944.[7] In the story, a husband attempts to convince his wife and others that she is insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting that she is mistaken, remembering things incorrectly, or delusional when she points out these changes.

and once again passing by and am tempted to say a 1990s attempt to convince the world that the US had operational hypersonic "aircraft" involved a supposed code name of Gas Light or Gas Pipe or whatever . Must be related to all those websites where "believers" are mocked by the "experts" so that they will keep believing .

He'll probably ruin it by claiming all credit for the protests...
And when it goes badly, he'll blame it on hillary and obama.

That's just politics. Hillary really was a dreadful SecState, but she could have been the rebirth of Benjamin Franklin and she would still get blamed. Obama blamed Bush for eight years. It's the way it's done.

Erm…
Trump threatens to cut US aid to Palestinians to force peace talks
President says US gets ‘no appreciation or respect’ from Palestinian Authority after it recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital

Donald Trump on Tuesday appeared to threaten to cut off US aid money to the Palestinian Authority, saying they were no longer willing to negotiate.

Trump, in a pair of tweets, said the US paid “the Palestinians HUNDRED [sic] OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue … peace treaty with Israel.”

He added: “We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?”

Trump infuriated many in the Middle East when he announced late last year the US would consider Jerusalem the capital of Israel and move its embassy there.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said the announcement destroyed Trump’s credibility as a Middle East peace broker, calling the decision “a declaration of withdrawal from the role it has played in the peace process”.

Tuesday’s tweets mark a tacit admission by Trump that his decision to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem had thrown a wrench into his administration’s plans to restart the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians. Trump gave son-in-law Jared Kushner the task of restarting the effort, and brought his former attorney, Jason Greenblatt, into the White House to lead the negotiations, which he had dubbed “the ultimate deal”.

He sounds like Zod. ‘Kneel before me!’

Well, in all fairness, Bush did leave Obama with a trainwreck and a set of broken tools....
And now Trump will break everything again leaving it to the next president to pick up the pieces.

He still has a complex related to his small ‘hands’.

Trump Taunts Kim: ‘I Too Have a Nuclear Button’
By PETER BAKER 9:08 PM ET

In a tweet, the president said his nuclear button was “much bigger & more powerful” that the North Korean leader’s. “And my Button works!”

In all fairness, Bush left Obama in functional control of Iraq, neither a trainwreck nor broken.

Trump had to pick ISIS, which was Obama's trainwreck.

Only as long as no one prodded any of the Iraqi structures. The folded as soon as someone did. They're rather more robust now. But then again this time around that might be thanks to the Iranians as much as anyone...?

Nonsense.

Iraq was already in quite a bit of chaos, and the entire problem only existed because of Bush in the first place. Bush had also signed an agreement with the Iraqi government about the removal of US-troops, an agreement that the Iraqi government demanded to be fulfilled. Yet somehow Republicans managed to blame Obama for that.

Obama had nothing to do with ISIS. Nor did Trump have anything to do to solve the issue. Doing some bombing runs and delivering help to the Kurds already happened prior to Trump, so Trump didn't do anything to solve the issue either. That was done by the Kurds, and later on by Assad's troops with big help from Russia and Iran.

If the USA removes funding to the Palestinian Authority it will not be able to function.
As the controlling power Israel will then have to fill its roll.
So Israeli troops will have to work as civil servants in the west bank.

Or Iran or some other benefactor will pick up the tab and funnel a good deal of it directly towards terrorist organizations.

I cannot see Israel stepping up to run civil services in Palestinian areas more than they already do.

That's the party line. As with most party lines, it lacks substance. To grant the valid points, yes, Iraq was in confusion and deeply divided. Bush had an agreement for troop withdrawal. The rest is fluff.

Chaos overstates the situation and conditions of the withdrawal were not met. The means of scheduled withdrawal was measured, with checkbacks. The actual withdrawal was a decampment. The withdrawal left behind significant weapons and munitions but not the intended safeguards. As a result, a faction was able to infiltrate and seize them, providing the powerbase for what became ISIS. In this case, it's not Hillary's fault. She just did nothing to stop it. To say President Obama could have prevented ISIS is not a stretch. So, he must accept primary blame for the failure.

So N.Korea figured out that Trump is insane and that they should try a diplomatic approach..

South Korea's President Moon Jae-in says his US counterpart, Donald Trump, "deserves big credit" for talks between South and North Korea.

Credit… in the sense that since he cannot bring himself to a negotiating table then others have to do it instead.

Trump is a genius! Nah, it wont work... China knows Trump's a paper tiger so it doesn't matter how he acts. The crazy Trump is a nice try though, gotta do something to break loose this ice jam in Korea. I dont know why we just dont leave and tell NK we'll be back if they invade the south. We dont need our people on the front line as a tripwire.
