What are you doing to celebrate Geek Pride Day?

Tonight, I'll be playing Sid Meier's Pirates as a character named "V", who never talks to governors, and who will attack any ship moving except for immigrant transports...this, while listening to podcasts on economics, law, bikes, and so on.

Year One, Hush, The Long Halloween, and The Killing Joke are some of the most common recommendations. The Dark Knight Returns is pretty good I guess, but Frank Miller's artwork and the terrible characterization of Superman prevent me from enjoying it as much as a lot of people do.
That is the precise list of the ones I've already read.

Just about anything by Grant Morrison is good, although his run is kind of confusing if you don't read it from the beginning. But his run is kind of confusing anyway. In a good way.
Where would one start with that?

Watching craptons of Baseball.

Batman and Son. He also wrote Batman: Gothic and Arkham Assylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, but those aren't connected to his bigger story. Although either one could be worth checking out, if you want to get a taste for the author without investing yourself in a massive arc.

Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? by Neil Gaiman is weird, but also worth a read. The gist is that it takes place at Batman's funeral, showcasing the myriad ways in which he might die. It's a lot better than it sounds, but I don't want to spoil too much.

I also have to endorse Superman: Red Son. Yes, it's a Superman story, but it does feature Batman. Except it's an alternate universe where Batman's parents were killed by the KGB and he's a Russian terrorist in Superman's totalitarian regime. He has a really cool hat:

Cool advice, I will definitely be checking these out.

It was my day off and I slept through it. Today is Memorial Day and I put out my flag.

I wish I had seen this thread. I would have gone through a few levels in SimCopter. I still played some Tecmo Superbowl, though. That counts for something, right?

I spent all day at Comicpalooza in Houston. That was a blast. I got to meet Jean Luke Picard and several other well known star trek actors. Tabitha St. Germaine and Andrea Libman from MLP were there and several other actors and VAs from other movies and shows were there as well.

Watch the 1st Season of Babylon 5 for free on the internet :D
(You have to watch commercials though)

Gawd, Sinclair was the worst. I love B5 as much as the next scifi geek, but I can't stand Sinclair.

Oh man I didn't know it untill just now and now I can't decide between Star Wars or Star Trek all-nighter  Maybe I'll just roll with Battlestar Galactica and call it a day ... umm night ^^

I went for a couple Season 4 episodes myself.
