I personally enjoy watching propaganda films, it is the best lazy way to study political ideology and tactics.

When I was young and attending weekly matinees, never was a fan of Hopalong Cassidy, recently saw many Hoppy pictures advertised on youtube and it started me thinking, 'Why was he called Hopalong?' Did some checking and found 'Books in Order page' (https://www.bookseriesinorder.com/hopalong-cassidy/) and downloaded 'The coming of Cassidy' from Gutenberg. read a ways into it and yes, there was a reason why gunslinger Will Cassidy picked up the Hoppy nickname.

A little more checking on youtube gave a slightly different version of why.

at about 8:45 into the clip Rogin says he opposed the Iraq War. Thats when Dore rips on him for being a Saddam apologist who defends torture and gas attacks on civilians after Rogin attacked Gabbard as an Assad apologist who defends torture and gas attacks on civilians. The comment section let Rogin have it for his hypocrisy.

The guy who played Colonel Klink, the main character, received six Emmy Award nominations for best supporting actor, winning in 1968 and 1969.
He was a concert violin player, but did it badly in the show for laughs.
The Nazis had to be portrayed as idiots so that the actor playing the short French guy who survived the holocaust in real life would agree to be on the show. (not sure if this is true)
