Yeah well, lots of countries has hooligans and annoying tourists. My own inclusive. I didn't say brits are the worst of both accounts. Just that its what I dont like about brits.

I think it's unfair to blame machine guns and wage slavery on the Britons, as they would have been invented by someone else given enough time. I also think it's unfair to say machines guns are a "bad thing" since it's just a natural progression of war technology. The US invented the gatling gun, didn't we? The machine gun is a progression of that.

When did the Britons invent concentration camps? Sometime during the occupation of India?

I don't know about what's in the book and there is some dispute about some of the facts such as machine guns. ATM I'm reading 'Mao: The Unknown Story' (fantastic book BTW), but afterwards I might try Evil Empire.

I just noticed that the book you mentioned is written by Jung Chang as well. So I guess that book doesn't fellate Mao, but rather flagellates him.
