All of this was field back in days
I can't seem to find any information about what is our mother company making. The sequel of XCOM is being developed by another company, 2K Marin, and it seems the Civ5 cycle is coming to an end.
What I have no doubt about is that their next project is on their early stages and Firaxis is not precisely a fan-opened company (at least comparing to Paradox Interactive, where devs are common posters in the forum). This means, no information is likely to be leaked.
I am very curious about what game is being developed, and I would bet it's Civ 6. What do you think?

Seems unlikely. They have new adverts up for a new Civ V expansion.

I'd rather have one more Civ V expansion before turning towards Civ VI.

Yeah, it's like BTS.

Anyhow, who knows about Civ6. Who even knows if PC Gaming will be a thing in 4 or 5 years?

How about a remake of Gettysburg/Antietam? It's been 15 years. 3D civil war Pickett's Charge..

It is. I don't know, I just have a feeling the PC is in more danger as a platform than it has ever been.

I could be completely wrong, but it just seems like it won't last this time.

And believe me, I really want to be wrong.

Just the opposite, Alps. Console gaming stands to risk becoming absorbed into online game delivery.

I would like a Pirates 2 MMORPG!!! They should just take like ten years off all the other games and make the best ever mmo about pirates.

Oh, consoles are double screwed. I mean some kind of ubiquitous platform ( eyeglasses, phones, etc. ) will be used in lieu of PCs.

This would be fine and dandy except for the tendency for those platforms to require traceable logins and such. I guess I just like the open nature of the PC and the fact that I can unplug my internet and keep playing if I like.
