What kind of devices do you own and use?

 Haven't gotten there yet. I am not running around in speedos or anything, but in my shorts anything larger than a keyfob bounces around and it's annoying.

My brother wears them, I don't know why.

My keys just jingle around in my pocket, and I tend to scare ladies on the street. They hear me coming and the eyes just dart.

Currently:

Main computer: Okay-ish touchscreen HP ultrabook as my primary computer. Speed is acceptable after installing 16GB of memory and an SSD. I've got it mostly plugged into a USB3 hub with the standard accessories, plugged into my dual monitors and TV, 5.1 speakers and wireless headphones.

Home server: Self-build AMD APU mATX unit with 8 hard drives plus a couple external usb3 4-bay hard drive enclosures.

Other stuff I have:
-Xbox 360, just got it this year for super cheap, now catching up on the past 8 years' worth of games that never made it to PC.
-Nokia Lumia 920 phone.
-MS Surface Tablet. Often using this over RDP to my home server for full x86 power. Otherwise it's pretty much exclusively for watching movies while travelling and nextgen reader.
-Kobo Aura HD, pretty great ereader.

BB solidarity right here. I will never join the screen only-phones brigade, like the rest of the sheeple. I need a nice ergonomic keyboard.

You probably don't.

I used to think so too, but it just takes some getting used to the onscreen keyboard.

In any case, onscreen keyboard is probably about 90% as good as physical keys, and having a screen that's twice the size in the same device form factor is roughly 2x as good for the screen, so the only way you come out ahead is if you spend the vast majority of your phone time typing.

I have an Asus K53E laptop: Intel Core i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500 GB HD, 64-bit Window 7

I have a cell phone that can technically get internet, but is never really used for that. I rarely use it for any purpose except calling home from the grocery store to see if there is something we need which someone forgot to put on the grocery list. It is a prepaid TracFone, which means that the service provider disabled functions like the ability to connect to a computer via USB or BlueTooth.

I have a television in my room which is about 10 years old, and is connected to a digital converter box to allow reception of broadcast signals. I rarely turn it on though, as it is more convenient to stream any TV show episodes I wish to watch.

Three TVs in my household (the one in the den, my mother's bedroom, and my sister's bedroom) are connected to a Roku to allow them to stream things from Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, etc. I'll sometimes watch things on them, almost always because someone else in the family wants to. When on my own, I really just use my laptop.

My sister has a Nook, but she cannot find its charger so it is not of much use anymore. She recently opened an Android that she bought for cheap several months ago on eBay, but isn't really that happy with its less sensitive touch screen and unfamiliar layout. She very much preferred the iPads which her classes during the last couple semesters required her to check out from the school, but they won't let her keep those during vacations.

@Zelig: your home/living room is about as neat and tidy as I'd long imagined it to be.

I have an old desktop (<5 years) that I use as mediacenter: directly attached to Tv via hdmi and to a NAS.
It runs Xbmc and vlc to play nicely any movie

Personal laptop (a 2 years old Vaio), a new laptop (a nice present from Intel with prototype chipset) and my company's laptop.

Samsung galaxy IV (work) and Sony Xperia Z1 (personal).

Galaxy tab 10" and kindle.

Nintendo wii

Various amount of vintage hardware for collection (from pong consolles to Nintendo game&watch to commodore stuff).

Various old mobile phones... Smartphones before it was fancy to have them :)
Several of them are enginering prototypes.

Let's see:

phone: just upgraded to an iPhone 5s. Before that I had an LG Optimus I got back in 2010. I was a bit torn between this and getting a Windows-powered phone, but I opted for the iPhone because my gf has an iPhone and I won't really notice not having corresponding tablet/desktop OS communication abilities. Maybe I'll switch to a windows phone if that ever happens.

computer: Right now I'm using an old Dell Inspiron I got for college in 2009. It's served me well. It's slowed down, runs hot, and the bezel's all but worn out. I'm thinking about upgrading to: a tablet, preferably one with a detachable keyboard (like the surface) and then building myself a new desktop. I haven't had a desktop since the processor burned out on my old self-build in 2010 and playing newish games on a not totally laggy setup would be nice.

I also have an iPod which I use to hold my music. I'll probably keep it around even with the iPhone because the iPhone doesn't have the space to hold all my music and, while I like pandora, I appreciate having more control over what I listen to.

I also have an Xbox360 which I use to play games. I have a PS2 which I still play occasionally, and my gf has a gamecube which we play when I'm visiting.

I use an i5 quad core (running windows 7) from cyberpower for games and movies.
I have an old flip phone for calls.
I use an iPad for everything in between.

We are switching to ting.com for our phones and calls next week.

I have a desktop computer running Windows Vista, which is kept disconnected from the internet. I finally bought a low-tech cell phone early in the summer for use when I go out of town on the road, but I'm not entirely sure where it is and it's long been low on batteries. I used like ten minutes in my first three-month term, and since November I haven't used any. I am tech free for the most part. My ardent desire is to live in a home with no glowing 'vampire lights', no digital displays and nothing that makes a noise without my telling it to.

I control the computer with my phone, but that reminds me, I also control my TV with my phone, using Zeebox.

I have a Galaxy S4 with a built-in universal remote. Comes in handy when the remote gets lost in the couch cushion. I use the Galaxy S4 for probably 75% of my web browsing and daily news intake. I also play games on it and of course use it for phone calls, texts and navigation.

I have a desktop that I built myself a few years ago. It was so much cheaper to build it myself compared to a store-bought version of similar capability. I use it for most of my 'serious' gaming, writing long documents and occasionally doing homework.

We have an HP laptop that mostly my wife uses but I also use for occasional browsing and homework - though I use it a lot less for browsing now that my new phone can properly display just about any webpage (my Galaxy SI had lots and lots of issues with its cranky old browser).

I have a 3D Vizio TV that we mostly use for Netflix, Amazon Instant, Vudu and our growing collection of 3D movies. We only get the local channels (it only cost $5 more to get the local channels combined with our internet package so it's worth it for news) as we ditched extended cable a year ago and haven't missed it.

I have an old GPS standalone unit that I use on long trips. It used to be a necessity because T-Mobile has a terrible network where we live and when you lost cellular connection on our old phones, you also lost GPS service as it needed a data link for the map service. Our new phones don't have those issues but I have to thoroughly try them out on road trips before I'll give up the old GPS unit.

I have an old PS2 that rarely gets used and a Wii that gets used even less but no newer consoles or any plans to buy one.

Well that's kind of irrespective your apparent Luddite tendencies. I'd like for my home full of fancy tech stuff to have no vampire lights (I've put electrical tape over all the annoying lights in my house.) and to be completely silent.

*Ancient, jerry-built desktop PC, plugged into the TV since my monitor broke.

*Mouse borrowed/stolen from my wife's mac (no right-click ftw!).

*Keyboard lacking the letter .

*Third-hand, ten-year-old mobile phone of indeterminate brand. Stores up to nine text messages at one time!

*X-Box 360 donated to me by a sympathetic friend, with which I can only play Pro Evolution Soccer 6, as the disk drive no longer opens.

I  the future.

Oh how that used to work. Now I'm forever tripping over something with wheels and sirens. Which is annoying, but too much fun to wish away.

Anyhow, 2 year old desktop(forget the specs), tube tv that's slowly wearing out with a roku box and a dvd/vhs player(spliced a tape it ate yesterday, got to feel all handy), and a pre-paid mobile phone I dislike. Two cordless phones and one corded hooked into the phone/DSL line.

Gaming PC I built over the summer, runs and plays every game perfectly.

And the free cell phone that comes when you get a plan.

That's is, not counting random PC accessories like headphones, a microphone, and a Razer Deathadder.

Then you don't have pets, I take it.

My dog and cat both died a few years ago, one of old age and one of snakebite, so I've been petless for a little while now. I don't mind noise from animals nearly as much; maybe it's the fur factor.

Homes should be peaceful like that. :)

Aw, I'm sorry about that. :( I hope the one who died from snakebite didn't suffer too long. That must have been absolutely horrible for both of you.

Just a suggestion, if you ever decide to get other pets: fish don't shed, and there are hairless cats now. They may look odd, and one has a constant impulse to wrap a blanket around them because they look cold, but they are kinda cute.
