    ^I don't like that either, but i was a teen in the 90s, and Cobain was the main act at the time. Although i didn't care much about music or Nirvana until late highschool; i probably didn't even buy a single record by anyone till after Cobain died.

    That's kind of the point of a cover. If you want to hear the song in a way that "sounds" like the original version you can just listen to the original.

    But I think that the part after the bridge (about 2:20 into the song) is what you'd expect from a live rock cover of Nirvana. And their voices have a "grain" to it that's similar to Cobain's.
