Some of the deranged ones like Adventure Time, yes.Hmm are there any (good) shows you can start mid season these days? Deffo start Succession from S01E01 though.
I watched the first three episodes before leaving on a trip and now have lost access to future episodes until June. I was intrigued by the pilot and was thus immediately disappointed by the story in the pilot being dropped to instead watchEpisode 4 of Silo was treading water a little bit, but seemed to be setting up a lot. The ending suggests that maybe a lot could happen all at once in the next ep.
I thought the scene where she fixes the generator was gripping. Possible spoiler, having read the book:I watched the first three episodes before leaving on a trip and now have lost access to future episodes until June. Spoiler :the Daily Trials and Tribulations of a Mechanic.
It does get back to it, but it's kind of a table-setter. Being able to watch eps 4 and 5 back-to-back might not be the worst thing.Does episode four at least get back to what was promised?![]()
I'd watch that...American Gods?
American Gods is good. Black Sails is also a Starz series. I don't know if it's still on there exclusively, but it's an excellent show. You also get the late Ray Stevenson as Blackbeard.American Gods?
Outlander is on Netflix too...it's pretty good, but I've only seen the first 3 seasons. White Queen, White Princess, and Serpent Queen are good. Def see Once Upon A Time in Hollywood if you have not yet seen it. And, ofc, Spartacus, but I assumed you've already seen it. Minx did not interest me. I read American Gods but have not watched it.There's a sale on STARZ and I'm trying to decide if it's worth a month or two. They have a handful of movies that I'd like to see, but so far there don't seem to be a lot of series that grab me. Is Outlander any good? American Gods? Minx? Any other STARZ shows I should look up? They don't make it easy to browse their selection before subscribing.
Psh. Countries are so 20th Century. We're living in a cyberpunk dystopia now, with mysterious AI, electronic surveillance, private spacecraft in orbit, mercenary companies waging wars with remotely-piloted drones, megacorps & tent cities - just about the whole shebang. Self-driving cars and billionaires growingSTARZ online streaming services are only available through participating partners located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
Unbelievable..the internet has become like cold war between countries.
Mrs. Davis was good, but I'm not sure I 'got' the ending. I might have to watch the last few episodes again. I feel like I missed something. Chris Diamantopoulos ("I'm J.Q.R., but you can call me J.Q.") had all of the laugh-out-loud moments.
I haven't seen The Leftovers, so I can't comment on that comparison, but otherwise, I agree with you. I liked that this show took some big swings and did weird stuff. I need more weird stuff.* The Last of Us went the other way and concentrated on perfectly executing a fully-derivative show that offered nothing new at all. It was good, don't get me wrong, maybe even great, but I think it hit the glass ceiling on that kind of thing. I almost wish Mrs. Davis was even weirder. I agree about Wiley.I felt that it thematically shares quite a lot with Lindelof's own The Leftovers, so if you've seen that one... Simone's relationship with her mother Celeste, is also a bit reminiscent of the dynamic between Kevin and his father, Kevin Sr., just reversed. I thought Mrs. Davis was very creative and unique especially in its depiction of faith and A.I; not everything landed for me, Wiley especially felt a bit purposeless in the final two episodes, as if they didn't quite know what to do with the character for the finale.
