Have you used/crafted any noisemakers in your run(s)? They were freaking awesome in story mode... I abused them heavily against those damned annoying timberwolves (and blew myself up multiple times ). I've never used them in survival mode though because you have to find the blueprint first before you can make them.

I never have, but one of those might've been useful when I lost my 300-day run in Sundered Pass. And now that the Timberwolf packs migrate around the island, they'll be more useful.

Did you play Episode 4 of Story mode? Noisemakers are a game-changer against Timberwolves. When you have noisemakers Timberwolves go from the bane-of-existence that chases you off the map/region, to an ordinary nuisance that makes you keep making/carrying noisemakers. With regular wolves, if you have enough HP, a knife/hatchet and a nearby safehouse, you can just say "eff it" and fight them, to get an almost guaranteed (delayed) kill. Then you just have to go heal up and repair your clothes.

With Timberwolves, there is no instant way to get rid of them because they won't fight you outright... they just swarm you and peck you to death over time. If you don't have some marine-flares, which are hard to find of course, its pretty complicated to get away from them, outside of hiding indoors until they lose interest. But with noisemakers they become alot more like ordinary wolves, in the sense that you have a straightforward, simple way to end the encounter with them quickly... in some ways then the Timberwolves are less dangerous, because there is no risk of a hand-to-hand struggle and the injuries. All you lose is the noisemakers.

The other thing that is clutch about noisemakers is that they make used cans useful instead of basically garbage once you find a pot. As I sit here talking about them, it is making me think that maybe it is worth risking life and limb to go into that poison gas mine afterall to get the blueprint for them. The Long Dark certainly has some good risk-versus-reward dilemmas.

In addition to Doom, ZDoom supports Heretic, Hexen, Strife, Chex Quest, and fan-created games like Harmony and Hacx

Basically, they used the source code to upgrade the engine.
For Windows, Mac or Linux.

So I was planning my Nuclear Plant in Satisfactory. Got 600 Uranium per minute close by. So that's my limit. I figure: lets get as much value out of that 600.
Figured out I could get 1.800 GW. Sweet! Gathered all the materials needed, belted them over to the construction site and then realisation hit me.

I need to build: 25 refineries, 160 smelters, 95 constructors, 75 manufatorers, 110 assemblers and 72 Nuclear Power generators.
And belt all of those together without it becoming a spagethi mess.

Of course, because I already belted all the material, I sure as hell am going to build it. But ... I am scared.

Lord help me.

Warden's Revolver

Found it! It was at the front entrance under the piece of cardboard in the corner

I found it just after firing my last bullet with the regular revolver to chase off a wolf. So I never got to shoot it Now I have to figure out how in the heck I am going to escape this wolf infested hellscape with out any weapons. I'm gonna have to make due with just torches and flares With no revolver ammo left, I don't know if I dare to try and make it to the mines. Its ironic because I'd be able to craft bullets (and noisemakers) if I made it through the mine hazards.

An interesting aside... I had an new experience in the game that I think I have to credit the body armor for... I got attacked by a wolf that I couldn't fight off (I was tired and half dozed off when the wolf suddenly attacked)... So usually, when you get in a wolf struggle that you can't fight off, your HP bar drains completely and you die. But for the first time I've ever seen... the wolf just kinda lost interest in me mid struggle and walked off... very similar to what happens when you get mauled by the Bear or the Moose. They injure you, usually severely, but then they let you go and leave you for dead. I'd never seen a wolf do that though. Its always a struggle until you spam the mouse fast enough to fill up the "fight" bar and thus "win" the struggle, thus chasing the wolf away, generally with fatal injuries to the wolf... or you can't fight the wolf off and it kills you.

So I think the body armor actually made me impervious to death. I didn't take much physical damage and the wolf ended up destroying/ruining my sneakers instead... which is a whole other problem... since now I have no shoes and I certainly can't climb Timberwolf Mountain with no shoes. I probably can't even make it to the region exits without shoes... so I'm probably stuck here looking for something to put on my feet

So I got Bannerlord for PS4, only just started and it is all a bit overwhelming at first I must say, I spent an hour or two practicing with various weapons and a horse at the range, a lot of that time I was hitting nothing but air and bumping into scenery, clearly this will take some practice

Any players here with useful tips before I really start the game ?

I saw there is a PS version of The Long Dark, that seems to be a CFC favorite, might try that later....

When I started playing, I didn't worry too much about the personal combat. I just got some men together and chased down bandits for a long time. You can enter duels later on if you like when you're more powerful. You can also try escorting caravans if you're not particularly tied to a certain area.

Oh, and if you later decide to get involved in workshops (for all that passive income), don't also get involved in politics, because enemy factions instantly seize any owned workshops.

Refund it and get it on PC instead.

In my case, it was because Bannerlord was on Xbox Game Pass. I probably wouldn't have bought it on PC.

Always look for tournaments. If you win you get a nice item, but you'll always get experience. They're free to enter so ...
Workshops were a bit of a pickle for me. I tried playing into the demands and supply of the region, but it doesn't always pay off.
Companions are quite important. You can develop skills in them you don't have (scouting for instance)
When looking for a partner, check for Stewart skills. If you ever get a settlement under your control, plop him or her in there.
Try to focus on skills in a certain area. (Vigor/control/endurance/Intelligence , that sort of thing) You fain more xp towards perks if your skill is higher.

It's not easy to give general tips, because much of it is rather: how would you like to play.
For instance: I like being a mercenary and get paid for my battles. But other people like the vassal route.
Also I have not played for a while ...

But seriously, the game is just a barebone frame on which you put mods. And it's moddable to Hell and back. You're getting less than half of what you'd get on a PC for the same price.

Ooh, yes, I forgot about companions. Definitely get a Scout too (you can find companions in city taverns), as it will make chasing down those bandits much easier.

Reviews I read seem to suggest the campaign/RPG part is flawed but the battles alone are worth the price...
