Witcher 1 is my favorite from serie, its closest in atmosphere and quest plots to books.
Witcher 2 is objectively much better game, but atmosphere gone.
Witcher 3 is somewhat mix of both with big +- its openworld.

I hated Skellige.

Yeah, I wasn't thrilled with Skellige either. The stupid horns on the helmets bothered me, the main quest for it was over too fast, and they didn't have the Northern Lights.
I think Witcher 3 went too big and CD Project just got overwhelmed by it.

I think I played Frontline for the PS2 in like 2003. Fantastic for the time.

Yeah, I grew up with that game. Good fun at the time.

I downloaded Wasteland 2 Director's Cut last night, for the Steam free weekend. I played for about an hour, and already got one of my Rangers killed.

Saw that game in my recommended queue. I passed on it as it just didn't look all that interesting to me.

Well, it's free until Sunday night. It's 8 gb, iirc. It downloaded while I was watching television and doing the laundry.

I stopped playing KSP because the game crashed on me. 64 bit version. Has never happened to me before.

I was so into it too, and now I don't really want to touch it.

Oh that's the worst. Other than this crash, how was the x64 version? More stable? Better frame rates?

Just started a playthrough of Aliens: Colonial Marines for my channel. I decided for my LPs that I'm just going to go down my Steam library alphabetically to decide what game I will play next and Aliens: Colonial Marines was first on the list.

x64 is hella more stable and definitely improved fps. But I'm too busy playing Rocket League and Team Fortress 3

How are you liking Stellaris? I know it's a Paradox game so it's going to be very involved, but how steep is the learning curve?

It's got a wiki now, so things are better. :)

My high-quality but ancient laptop gave up the ghost, so now I'm playing on my newer back-up laptop. I got cruisers and finished my first war, but on my POS laptop, the games is going slower, and slower and slower.

I've started a new games, this time with slaves and a decadent trait. :whipped: Whoa, this is a little tricky.

More minerals are a must in the early game.

Giving another go to Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. It feels a lot better now with some balance patches, although I still wish it was turn based with a dynamic camera (like XCOM) to give me a more tactical feel while still showing off all of the detail work they did on the ships. Instead I play the game zoomed out with my mile-long space cathedrals speeding around like motorboats.

Also, I saw Bethesda announced Skyrim Remastered. Not sure what the point of releasing it on PC was giving we have mods; but I am proud of them. Only Bethesda can take pride in re-releasing a 5 year old game to make it look like other games released the same year.

Bethesda's faces still look terrible.

Skyrim remaster ? They're porting the high resolution texture DLC that they released for free on the PC four years ago to consoles because the new gen consoles have caught up to 2012 PCs ? :D

Supposedly it's more than that and the snow looks better. And if you own it on PC and have all the DLC you'll get it for free.
That's nice.

Oh, you mean the devs finally got around to putting out the patch they promised to have out 2 weeks ago? Still waiting to get access to the Space Marine fleet for purchasing during the Early Adopters period. "A few weeks after release" they said...

I tried to play a little bit of The Forest last night after nearly a year's absence. Man, they've put a lot of work into this game.

The cave system is goddamn terrifying actually. And I kept getting lost lost lost. I finally found a possible exit... but it's so dark up ahead between me and those torches. And I hear a native moving around, like, right in front of me. I ran into one earlier by complete surprise and almost died. I actually had to quit to desktop because it was just freaking me out too much.

Really?
In that case, thanks for the freebie Bethesda, and I don't need to install a ENB.

I've heard it said that the Skyrim faces look worse than those of Oblivion.
No, just no.
Oblivion is the land of the mutant potato people with weird texture stretching. While Skyrim's faces are a bit less expressive, it looks less like an alien quickly put on the face they just removed for their latest victim.

Apparently they released a patch but yeah, still a little bummed how long it is taking for them to get out the Adeptus Astartes fleet.
Once I get a half-decent fleet together, we might have to have an online battle.
