What was your first impression of CFC-OT?

I remember when I first ventured in here 2007. I think I went to myself "Oh wow these people are all smarter than me. I hope they don't think I'm an idiot." Even now I'm surprised how many CFC-OT people going to universities and such.

My first impressions were forgotten, but i do recall discussing with Bozo_Erectus. He was a good debater.

Unfortunately i fear i had something to do with his leaving, since i remarked that he was projecting something, and this maybe made him sad. Anyway i am probably wrong, but here is some ot trivia for your thread

I knew two of the words of this sentence. And those were "an" and "of"

My first exposure to "OT-culture" was in a German Star Wars forum and there the OT went quit slow. When I then had my first look into CFC-OT my initial thought was "Man, those guys are active".
It has slowed down since then though.

I liked how it provided a decent platform for discussing socio-political issues while being accommodative to my short attention span. Also surprise at finding such a thing in an off-topic forum.

I also remember being surprised at how active it was. I read part of a thread and left and there were 5 other threads at the top that were not there before.

I generally spend most of my time on this site in the Civ3 section, but every so often I drop by in OT. My overall impression is largely positive. And that is even more true for my first impression. (Might have something to do with not having had all that great expectations. )
