I'm surprised so many people are so content to live a life alone. I'd be scared crapless (the other word they won't let me use). It's funny because I am a loner, but I don't want to be completely alone. I once went primitive camping, and I was by myself miles from anyone. It's kind of scary. Anything could happen to you, and no one could help you out. There's a reason why humans banded together. It was for their own safety.
Definitely people would go through phases of acceptance with it, and probably some people would go an kill themselves or something.
I mean, I don't think I'd be content just writing my thoughts in a journal and considering it equivalent to CFC-OT....lol
And obviously the internets would be down, though you could start your own free library of sorts. You wouldn't be "asking jeeves" for survival advice.
I'd take it in strive to be careful. One situation I thought up is----what kind of car would you go out and "steal"? Something with high safety ratings? A crazy sports car that you would get yourself killed in?
We also didn't discuss the wildlife, wild dogs, etc... I'd get armed quickly, probably grab a tractor trailer, go scavenging, and migrate South to a very large building where I could winter and defend against nature and wildlife. Then start building stashes of goods, like a squirrel. And I'd probably travel a bit, and make videos, for entertainment.
The main metaphysical problem is why? It'd be the same question as "why do you live?" A lot of people say it's to procreate---which is removed by being the only person. So I'd probably try to live "the good life" and maybe hope there was a god. There's not much else really, if it's just you.
