We've had a few job threads lately but I haven't seen a specific enquiring one like this in awhile. Also in this day in age (and this age group) people's jobs often change faster than their ages.

So, what do you do? Would would you like to do for your next job/money making endevour? Would you you ultimately like to do (unrealisticly)? How about realistically?

I'm unemployed, looking for a job. Realistically i'm looking for either a shop job or an office monkey job at current. Ideally i'd like to do something maybe in politics or music.

I'm currently a project manager for a big software company.

Urealistically, I would like to create my own game.
Not so unrealistically, I would like to write my own book.
Realistically, I'll keep on getting jobs with a pay good enough to enjoy life, and a schedule light enough to have time to enjoy life :)

I'm an academic research chemist, and I do a small amount of lecturing. That is unlikely to change in the next few years, nor do I want it to.

I'm a student but I'm gonna be a lifeguard this summer at my local pool.

I wanted just about any job there other than lifeguard. But my old job at the concession stand had a new manager coming in - the Boss's sister (or somehow related. They have the same last name), who I worked with as a co-worker last summer, and couldn't stand then.

I'm really not the strongest swimmer (I can barely do a decent dive), and if I was drowning probably wouldn't want my life in my hands. But I keep telling myself that It's not that hard and that I'll be fine in a local pool, not fending off some ridiculous rip-tide  ;)

As an assistant supervisor,i have to say that my job entitle me to make sure people are on time, not on heavy drugs,to take calls for absentees, inventories, and just downright being lazy and arrogant that i don't have to do all the manual work.:D

hint, hint ;)

I arrange finance for companies around the world. As loans, investment etc.

I remember the last thread like this being recent enough to make me reluctant to post here and elaborate on the other questions.

I'm a digital arts student. On the side I do some freelance webdesign, architecure and 2dgraphics, nothing fancy, just cheap filler graphics so far  .

As my school year in Washington draws to a close, its about time for me to find a summer job back home, which is going to be very tough, since employment oppertunities are slim pickings where I live, 'specially if you can only work a few months, and every slimmer if you have to make at least 7 dollars an hour.

I was signed on to work construction, but given my recent arm injury, that doesnt appear to be such a wise idea. I think i'll end up working in a trophy engraving shop.

On the side, me and my blues band are touring Ohio...mostly central Ohio (so, Columbus Area CFCers, watch out), but we might have a performance or two in the cleveland are. I hope to supplement my meager *summer job* income with performances, merch sales, and percussion teaching.

I used to teach history, social sciences and Norwegian on high school level, but due to a progressively deteriorating health I have been forced to file for medical retirement.
If I recover more or less completely, I will probably chose to go for a doctorate in history. Unfortunately there is only a small chance for this ever to become reality.

I'm a software developer and have DBA responsibilities. I've been doing this for about 8 years now I guess. I'm ready for something new. I hate sitting in an office everyday, all day.

i'm a paralegal at a real estate law firm. however, i'm on the verge of becoming certified to teach high school history.

i've been half-tempted to get back behind the bar again for some extra cash although i'm afraid that i'm just a tad too lazy for a 2nd job right about now...

Graduate Student studying soil ecology. I was going to start a thread entitled "Ask A Soil Ecologist", but I didn't think too many folks here spent thier time wondering about nematode population dynamics :crazyeye:

As of september, I'll be out and probably unemployed :(

I'm a "guitarist". Actually I'm too young to have a job, but I participate to a lot of guitar competitions and I have lots of concerts. I'm in the 9th grade (I was the first in my country to skip a grade. I'm planning to skip another one so that I'll be the first who skipps 2 grades.)

I'm currently selling racks, looking for a "stage" in an accounting firm (have an interview with KPMG in a month).

In 2 years I'll be a certified C.A. (equivalent of the CPA) and hopefully I'll start making more money then I can spend.

I'm "unfit for work".

So am I but I have to do it anyway :(

A small cog in a huge wheel is my job title.
