What do people do when faced with the trick loo seat where the cistern is too far foward and the seat wont stay up? The sit, the foot press (better be wearing shoes), the sideways hold-it-up-with-the-knee (smaller viable target area in the all important vertical axis) or the dirty-boy target practice?

I go sideways-and-knee myself, but if people have a broken seat they bring dirty-boy target practice on themselves.

Always (except while peeing standing), because the toilet lid needs to be shut when not in use. This not only prevents the cats from taking a bath but also keeps small objects such as toothbrushes and deodorants out of the toilet bowl. While not everyone has cats, most people do have toothbrushes and such, so I don't really understand the controversy.
