Yes, this poll has probably already been held. But as my search function is broken and the proportions might have changed a bit... where are you from?
And if you could restart your life, where would you like to be born? Post the answer to the second question in the thread.

Why what a coincidence, my search function is broken too. Though in my case it's my browser's search rather than a CFC search. Probably ought to restart the browser and hope it starts working again.

I'm from America, as in the United States Of. If I could restart my life... good question. While I haven't generally been a fan of the political situation where I'm from since, oh, about January 21st, 2001, neither am I confident enough that I'd be happy with it in any one particular other place to go out on a limb on account of that. Of the places listed, I'd consider:

*Scandinavia
*Benelux
*Germany
*Spain or Portugal
*Canada
*Great Britain
*Eastern Europe
*Oceania

as places I might choose over the U.S.A. But I'd have to do some pretty serious research. There's certainly things I like about some of those places better than I like about the U.S.A., but I can't say I'm as informed about the negatives, either. You tend to know the negatives of your own country best.

Also, where's the Korea option? Is it "The rest of Monsoon-Asia"? Doesn't seem that accurate IMO. I might consider South Korea too except for the whole Kim Jong-Il living next door thing, that's kind of an important negative. I wouldn't consider North Korea though, for obvious reasons.

Also, where's Ireland? I don't know if I'd consider it or not, but I'm almost sure we have some Irish members of CFC, and I doubt they're all from Northern Ireland. And they might not all appreciate an implication that the Queen still rules the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (without a Northern in there).

Also, where's San Marino? Okay, now I'm just giving you a hard time .
