I know that a lot of you plan to become billionaires. To help you find the best place to live in order to accomplish that ambition I have compiled Forbes list of the world billionaires to find out which countries that has the highest billionaire density per capita.
Some billionaires do not live in their home country anymore. I dont know how I should count them. That they have moved from their home country indicates that the home country is not a good place to be a billionaire, so I dont think their home country deserves to be credited from them. But if they were billionaires before they moved to their current country of residence it doesnt say much about how easy it is to become a billionaire in that country. For those reasons I have decided to leave the traitors out of my statistics and only count billionaires whose citizenship is the same country as their country of residence.
So heres the list of all the countries with billionaire who are both citizen and residents:
Country, Billionaires per million citizens
1. Liechtenstein, 30,3
2. Hong Kong, 2,1
3. Singapore, 1,2
4. Kuwait, 1,0
5. Switzerland, 0,96
6. United States of America, 0,92
7. Norway, 0,87

19. Australia, 0,25

So if you want to be a billionaire, Lichtenstein is a great place to start. There you can inherit a huge power tool company and make it grow like crazy. That is an excellent plan! At least it worked for Lichtensteins only billionaire, Michael Hilti. But since it is only one billionaire in Liechtenstein it is possible that the extreme high billionaire density only is a result of her low population
. In that case Hong Kong would be the best choice. There it seems to be wise to follow in the footsteps of 6 of the 14 billionaires and invest in real estate. I am not sure if Hong Kong counts as a country though as she officially is a part of the Peoples Republic of China. So maybe Singapore is the best country for billionaires. 3 of the 5 Singaporean billionaires have made their fortune on banking, so that must be the way to go there. If you want some more challenge you could try a country a little further down the list. It is no less than 30 countries to choose from where the chances of being a billionaire are more than 1 in 10 billion. That is quite good odds I would say
!
