I'm sure there's no way to know, as there seems to be no pattern (today was perfect for Trajan), but if I keep voting Rome, I'm bound to be right at least once.

I assume noone will make a poll after all civs except one were revealed, so there is a possibility that you won't get a single one right even if you vote the same civ every time :P

I voted Germany, I really want to see Germany, please no more Panzers, I want Teutonic Knights or something interesting, no more repeats.

I would also love to see Rome or Sumeria. or better yet, THE INCA, the surprise civ.

Would be nice - on the one hand this iteration has been doing a great job at keeping things fresh - on the other hand... 9 civs have been revealed and only 3 of them have industrial+ era units.. only one of which (america's "extra" unit) is a land unit...

Looking at the pretty confirmed list of remaining civs that have yet to be revealed, late game era units is looking pretty slim. Panzer may come back.

Firaxis is going to look at this thread and pick the one with the fewest votes.

Chances are they plan out who they're revealing when at least a month in advance to have the videos (and additional content) ready, so I doubt these threads hold any sway at all. Only thing I can think of that might be worth changing plans for is the leaked image with every leader on it- they'll want to hold back from revealing the two mysteries for at least until it's closer to release, to hold us in suspense.

Sarcasm, dude.

Also, it's Firaxis' policy to proceed with their intended marketing regardless of leaks.

I think there is no chance the leader board was an accidental leak. What was that otherwise uninteresting shot doing in the video if it wasn't intended to display that board? It is not like the video won't have been edited and checked before being released, so there is no way that shot made it into the video unnoticed. I am certain it was in fact an attempt to excite fans, and it has had great success in doing so. All other possibilities suggest gross incompetence on the part of the developers, and that seems highly unlikely.

My vote goes to the Inuit, just because it seems that whatever we vote for we don't get :p

I definitely don't want to see Spain yet. Nope. No thanks Firaxis

Well then, I don't vote for the Inuit and I vote for Arabia. :D

The majority of that video was otherwise uninteresting shots of people standing around looking like they're designing a game. Shots of people sitting in a room doing nothing but talking (talking that the viewer can't hear), with nothing interesting going on for the viewer.

For example, there's virtually nothing of note happening in this shot. It's not some super secret conspiracy to show off their cat calender;

They posted a new civ. Time to go back to the expected.

India.

I hope their just not doing many late era units because they don't serve much purpose, and Bismark isn't the leader this time so doing a modern era unit for a Medieval based Germany is ridiculous.

Germany for the third time. We want Teutonic Knights!
This is my dream for Germany, they need to do this, I might forgive them for leaving the Inca out, if they do Germany Properly.

As a German, I don't like Teutonic Knights,

Here are 3 reasons I against Teutonic Knight become the UU of German Civ.

a) In the military aspect, Teutonic Knights are not special enough, they're nothing but medieval knights. While the renaissance landsknechts and WW2 Panzers are quite unique in their era.

b) To the Poles, Teutonic Knights might be memorable enemies in their history. But to Germans, Teutonic Knights, which scope of activities was mainly in Baltic region, didn't play an important role in our memory. Well... MAYBE to the Germans whose ancestors were live in Prussialand and moved into today's Germany after WW1/WW2, TKs are memorable, but definitely not to people who live in Southwest Germany, like me.

c) Teutonic Knight is a Catholic specific unit, I don't think they would chose a religion specific UU because:
In the game, Germany could believe any religion. It would be very embarrassed that the Islamic/Buddhistic/Hinduism, etc. Germany has a UU with a big black cross.
In reality, Germany a Multi-religious country. I don't if a Catholic specific UU would be offensive to the 31.7% German protestants or not.

However, it I can only choose between Panzer and Teutonic Knight, I will definitely choose the latter one. :)

Then the Reiter would do fine.

I want Rome to be the last, in fact. We could already see a "preview" leak of the leader. That should be enough, at least for me. I mean, I just want Poland to be next.

On the other hand, it's time for a male leader now, so it's time for Germany or Greece now.

I think they reveal something with bonuses related to mechanics they have discussed about. No civs that have corps/army bonuses, like potentially Rome and Germany.

True. Still, this 'leak' theory makes no sense to me. When taking that shot, the person would be hard pressed not to notice the board. When the video was being edited, that shot should not have gone unnoticed; it may only have been shown briefly, but if the board was something they didn't want to be seen, they should have noticed it.

How can you explain it continually going unnoticed; it was not like there was anything else especially interesting in that shot? I'm certain they would have watched the video through before they posted it.

We had this argument already. Did you was Nazguls with wristwatches and airplane in the sky of Troy? Even cinemas which are carefully edited are full of such mistakes. It's very easy for some PR person making video together to miss it. Not to mention the person who edited the video not necessary knew about the board at all (it could be a person from different office).

Also, it's obvious for you now, once you know about the board. it took hundreds of YouTube views before the first viewer noticed it.

I never said it was obvious; I did not notice it. But I'm not a dev, who should have noticed it. I suppose if as you suggest a PR from a separate office edited the video, you could be right though, hadn't thought of that. But even then, unless those people in front of the board are actors, it is unbelievable to think they would have stood there whilst somebody filmed something unrevealed like that. Still, think to yourself, could it not just as easily be deliberate? What have they got to lose?
