Has Anyone read the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin?
I have. Its quite entertaining and worth a read if you like long series. It is also unfinished and the next book is way over due.

Good series. It barely reads like the books are as long as they are (c. 700-900 pages) because it's both very well written and follows enough plot threads that there's very little superfluous material.
Also I may have acquired an encyclopedic knowledge of it at some point.

Some of his characters tend to drive me into a homicidal rage when I have to read their chapters.
I was lucky to have started it last year and got to read all the existing books one right after another without having to wait.

Is nice finding authors late in their work. I found Terry Pratchett when he was about 15 books in! It was glorious reading nonstop!

I found Terry Goodkind late in his series so that was cool. He has like 10 books or so.
On the other hand... I read all of the sword of truth (and Law of Nines), and I'm now addicted to his stuff despite how utterly terrible it is.

So if I start a new thread on my NES, I want it to be a little bit decorative and include some pictures. Do I need some permission to do this (because it may take up space in the thread?)?? just checking ahead of time... some of the NES threads look quite beautiful.

the autocensor is on a rampage atm as far as I can tell, I've been changing previous posts that have crazy smileys but haven't tried posting anything extensive yet.
Its been accepting previous posts unedited, it shouldn't be a content error. I don't know what is going on with it though.

There is a vB problem connected to apotrophes and perhaps foerign languages. See the threads in Sf for more details.
The probl;em is a vB flaw and may not go away soon.
