Iggy, a find and replace function on any word processor could do the trick in all 20 seconds. :)

The thing is, if you look at the most recent posts in GalaxyNES, it shows exactly what happened in freemanuncg's post. I'm trying to find a 'replace all' function to change my apostrophes.

No, they are I think. Look at freemanuncg's post, and then note that you might not have hit the apostrophe limit in a post.

It is related to the use of ascii characters and a flaw in the unique user filter for registration.

apostrophe limit... I hadn't considered. But editing my old posts (through the forum, without changing them) that had tripped that limit and prompted a deluge of smileys did not trip it again on the edit. EDIT: IDK, BirdJag knows more than I do in any event and I wouldn't have made thi post if I knew he would elucidate the subject. I am a loudmouth.

All my past updates are screwed!!!

Alas everytiem I try t post my update all that appears is this wat amm i to do?

"Go Advanced" and edit it in to another post, I think that will get around it.

;)

worked for Iggy, I hope it works for an NES I'm actually in.

I feel like Bill Pullman in Independence Day, "We know how to bring them down, spread the word."

Yeah, hopefully they undo the 'fix' that caused this and can figure out an alternate solution that doesn't bork apostrophes and non-Latin characters.

;)

"We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

**crowd cheers**

Has Anyone read the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin?

Yes.

I have. Its quite entertaining and worth a read if you like long series. It is also unfinished and the next book is way over due.

Yes, and yes.

Good series. It barely reads like the books are as long as they are (c. 700-900 pages) because it's both very well written and follows enough plot threads that there's very little superfluous material.

Also I may have acquired an encyclopedic knowledge of it at some point.

Yes, and yes!

I dunno man, the Bible drags on for a long time in the middle and some of the authors involved weren't really that good. Sure David and Solomon, Matthew, Moses, they wrote good stuff. But I dunno man, the plot structure seems a little strained at times and I blame more than a few of their co-authors and translators.

Especially John, Revelations is like... the original "sequel with a big special effects budget that is significantly lighter on substance and probably shouldn't have happened"

Honestly, everything after the Old Testament was really just selling out- probably just trying to capture a bigger audience. They really left the fans of the original series behind with the whole 'New Testament' thing, and then completely rewrote a bunch of the characters... sad.
