The copyright precedent is to ignore copyrights.

I deeply disapprove of this thread on the grounds that my postcount is going to take a punch in the gut when the old thread gets archived.

Is an earlier draft covered? I guess I might have to just go through the contract.

These threads do not get archived. I think they should do however.

I disapprove of all archiving. It's much easier to find stuff when they were in their original forums instead of strewn all over the place.

Can someone tell me if the use of sign up threads still kosher????? As I can see there has been a tightening of the rules of this forum since last time I was here, and I want to make sure I aint stepping on anyones toes.

Papists are perennial drama Queens. I can't say I'm surprised. :mischief:

I really should see if I'm allowed to let the community here read one of my papers. But I'm not sure what the copyright precedent is for online communities -- and I can't think of a neat means of playing down what exactly we do here.
What is your exact question?

Your pc is safe. I don't archive them, they just drift to the bottom. I did think about merging all the old ones at one point.

Moderator Action: The rules have not changed , just the manner in which they are enforced. Incivility and personal attacks are not encouraged and I will not hesitate to delete garbage posts. :)

I'm wondering if I have a legal leg to stand on if I distributed a copyrighted paper of mine to the nesing community. On, reflection I don't seem to have one.

Moved from Alternative Timeline Experiment. The nesing community is going to try and explain to me the twisted skein of logic that is Lord of Elves explanation for the euro-centrism. I personally think the arguement started at this point .

Lord of Elves said:
Both the Germanic peoples, and the Celts, if history is to be believed originated in the Caucasus, and either migrated to there from Africa or Mesopatamia sometime before the dawn of organized, civilization, in a nomadic period of existence. Eurocentrism, as you call it, is mostly the result of a cultural memory that the migration of mass chunks of humanity created, as well as colonialism by European nations. Eurocentrism, is at best, a flawed cultural memory that carries back to a long-dead era of civilization, in which Europe was identified with civilization by European colonists.

The logic behind which has completely eluded me. So is the whole debate as surreal as I think?

Well I have to say that's one argument I haven't heard before...

Anonymoose wants to have a NES where players played insects in the lawn. SimAnt meets A Bug's Life meets National Geographic? GOOD IDEA OR BAD

I think the whole argument is moot, and has little at all to do with any NES period, and I have ended my involvement in the discussion. The last thing I am going to say about it is that in my opinion Eurocentrism is the product of European colonialism, and the belief by European colonists that they were dealing with inherently inferior cultures and civilizations.

And yes, it is quite as surreal. More than half of the time you played my words back to me, but it is moot, I have discontinued my involvement. It was turning into a text fight, and I have better things to do on the forum than try to verbally beat things.

If you're going to verbally beat things you could have at the very least used the proverbial spiked club instead of the proverbial rubber chicken.

I'm a history enthusiast, not a warrior. :p

I could make a better argument if I wanted, but I question whether the conversation belongs in any thread on this forum.
